This place was ok.  It seemed like a lot of people live there.  The staff was friendly.  The room wasn't in the greatest condition but we were only there to sleep.  We booked 3 nights while we were visiting the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.  The drive to Cooperstown was beautiful.  Our key card never worked the next morning and we had to go have it reprogrammed each morning.  Don't know that I would stay again but it wasn't all that bad.

It was ok.

Stayed here for 12 days, there’s bad points and good points. The heating was amazing. Beds comfy. 

Not very clean, does not serve breakfast as stated.  The manger on the day after we arrived told me they would not enter the room unless we requested to be cleaned. I said every other day to be cleaned. That didn't happen. I got my bedsheets from the handyman and borrowed a brush from outside. Wasn’t the cleanest of places. But with some talc be a beautiful place. They need real house keeping not a man that’s doing everything from cleaning to fixing things and making rooms. 

I stayed with my children and my partner. We had double mattress what was on a king frame but hey ho it worked. The other bed was a bit mismatch somebody had sharpie’d the mattress. The bed sheets was all new. 

We hired another room while we was there due to having 2 more people with us for a night that wasn’t very clean either but bedsheets was. 

Room includes a microwave and fridge with a mini freezer and a flat screen tv 

Do not go to the motel if your dependant on the WIFI unless you’re in the 1st few rooms next to the office but other than that you won’t be in range. I recommend the owner gets a booster as that was a big let down, due to me travelling from England I needed the WiFi for work. He said the WiFi range was bad because of the snow but even when the snow melted from the roof it got worse. Upgrade your WiFi! 

The price is very reasonable for what you get. 

They was always helpful. The Handyman couldn’t help you enough. Though only time we could get in the office to speak to somebody was after 3pm due to our key card stopped working Many times while there it was a pain waiting to get into our room because nobody was available. 

I think some of the rooms are rented out permently. The office is very cluttered and could do with making it into a busniess and not a living room.

My honest opinion with good house keeping and better WiFi and no miss selling (breakfast not included)  this could be a very nice place. The views are beautiful. 

You get back what you put in. 

They is a lot of stray and home cats about who are very friendly and do not try to enter your rooms.

Stayed for 12 days

This place may go by more than one name, but we reserved on-line with M-Star.  It was surprising to see a Budget Inn sign on the road, and we were about to ride by.  The room is in need of a renovation, the lighting was harsh, and the bath plumbing was not maintained.  The mattresses were wrapped in plastic so we slept on top of the blanket, and happily made it out without any bites (the sheets seemed clean). There were flies in the room because the rear window was missing part of its frame.  The painted over wallpaper in the bath had mold.

The A/C Worked

I stay in a lot of low budget places (when not traveling with the wife).  This is the 2nd worst, with only one worse than this was in West Chicago.  Dirty. one towel. Bed most uncomfortable ever in a hotel room sagging so low in the middle, slippery/dangerous tub and bathroom floor without a bath matt/towel.  Cheap but not cheap enough with all these issues.
I will give them a few things:  TV worked, decent cable channels, AC worked well on a hot day, good water pressure.  They had vinyl floor not carpet, which is a really good choice in a place this low budget that allows pets.
Person that checked me in could not understand a word I said without their hearing aid, yet were not wearing hearing aid, trying to guess what I was asking for.  Near train track didn't bother me personally but might bother some.  
Would not stay here again.  Crossing my fingers that I didn't bring home bed bugs.
Name is now advertised as: "OYO Hotel East Grand Mohawk River" which does not match their signs.

Just sad. not clean, 1 towel, bed sagged in middle almos to the floor.

My boyfriend and I got one room and realized the door has been kicked in once and wouldn't lock. The sink was clogged and the heater didn't work. So they moved us to a slightly nicer room which was a lot better until I asked for clean towels. Which apparently they do not provide. I was told that I had to supply my own towels as well as toilet paper. And wash the towels they had in my room. Makes me question of the bedsheets ever get washed. Thankfully we had our own blankets so never used theirs. There is obviously drug users that live here because it's quiet here until around 9-10 at night. Then the vagrants come out and you have to have your t.v. turned all the way up to drown out the obnoxious people that live here... I paid $260 For a week and I'm still trying to find out what I paid For? The Wi-Fi and cable? You can also tell they do not clean the rooms in between guests. The floors are disgusting and the Windows look like they haven't been cleaned in about 4 years. No Windows open either so good luck getting the stink out of your room when you first arrive.

Awful hotel

While looking for this place, I found it but thought I was in wrong place!  The sign in the front of Motel says "Budget Inn", not M Star, so I thought I was in the wrong place!!  The outside was a hangout apparently when I drove up, people sitting on ground some sitting on chairs or hanging outside their doors!!  I immediately told the woman that it looked seedy to me!!  I saw the room, which of course knew before I went in, what to expect!  The window had 1 panel curtain hanging on 3 nails all crooked!  The bed was so low, it was almost on ground!  The bathroom shower curtain ripped, bathroom window totally dirty, screens torn, bugs in window and the Internet did not work at all!!  The air conditioner smelled as well as the room of smoke!  Its supposed to be Non Smoking but someone was!  The TV didn't work and the Dresser was Broken underneath the top!  Of Course, I choose not to stay there, and had to find a new place to stay!  I was told that the Manager was away and would be back in 2 hours, Oh, he also had the keys to the room which was odd!
Anyway, after telling her this, he was contacted and showed up!  I told him how I felt,
and said that room was in good condition, further stated that if I left, other people were waiting to take my place LOL!!  
I told him you have lots of transients here do you not??  He said people rent by the week, day and month!!!  Ummmmm what does that say about it???
I would never return, thank goodness I didn't pay ahead!!

The outside of the place told me what to expect!

There are many poor ratings for this hotel. I should have looked at them. Hotel is a dump. I paid in advance and tried to check in after  3 PM. Nobody onsite. Some toothless belligerent woman comes out to say they are all booked. Claims she is acting assistant manager. Tells me to come back in several hours (!) when the owners return. Then threatens to call the police when I complain. Mind you, I paid in advance for this dump. Dont book here!

Worst hotel

Booked 2 nights for Hall of Fame weekend in Cooperstown, driving from Ohio, get a call hour before my arrival to say I was bumped because of double booking. Went there anyway to voice my displeasure, rude lady at front desk says not my problem, go somewhere else, I say where? She says you're from America you know where everything is, realized she did me a favor, place is a disgusting dump, got my refund and got out of there quick.

Don't stay there

The first room i had, the door couldn’t even open from the inside. The manager had to come open it for us. The room was filthy, the tv remotes was dusty, and the bed sheets looks like it hasn’t been washed. So we get a new room, 2 hours later a whole bunch of bed bugs on both of the beds. Terrible service & it was just dirty from the beginning.  I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Keep in mind they change their namealot. Scam artist.

Infested with bed bugs. Drive past & dont stop.

This place was filthy and disgusting.  I tried to get a few pictures to justify the refund as I refused to stay here.  Posted a few before the owner threatened me forcing me to stop.  The entire place is falling apart and smelled horribly of urine.  Animal food bowls were left with dried wet food crusted in them and on the floor.  Filthy mattresses were piled outside against the wall.  And the icing on the cake was getting pulled over by N.Y. state police 300 ft. down the street under suspicion of buying drugs.  After explaining what happened he Informed to that the police are there “every night” and he advised me not to go back for my safety.  Worst establishment of any sort I have ever encountered.
