Vineyard Valley Inn

This 1950s motel is clean, recently remodeled.  The owners are pleasant and accommodating .  
It's an easy walk to restaurants on the main drag,
The morning coffee was good and the complimentary donuts were fresh.
Also the price was right. 

We needed a place to overnight on a longer road trip north, and the Inn caught our eyes.  Even though it was only one night, we really enjoyed our stay.

The Inn was likely built in the 1950s, since it had that motor court feel.  But the exterior was immaculate, with nice large potted plants as accents.  Desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, and it was no problem that our 75lb Labrador was with us.

The room itself was also immaculate, quiet, and the furnishings were modern and in excellent condition.   I’ve seen some reviews that complain about the room size (too small, too cramped), but the rooms were built in the ‘50s when there were probably two single beds in them and now there is a kingsize bed.  If you want a huge room, do your research and stay at a chain hotel — don’t pick a quaint, local business and then complain.

The bathroom was huge, well appointed, and very clean.  Water pressure and temp were great (it’s a little thing, but we hate dribbling showers).

I’m not an effusive reviewer, but we really enjoyed our stay here.

What a wonderful place the husband and wife are so accommodating. it had a little kitchenette everything was very clean  quiet  we will definitely be back. They helped us find stuff to do  it was an enjoyable stay  it was reasonably priced

We stayed here on a whim to add an extra night to a wine country weekend.  What a lovely little spot.  No, it's not fancy, but it's clean and cared for.  They're obviously fixing it up a little at a time and the manager seemed really excited to tell us what they were working on.  We were extremely comfortable and felt at home.  I'm going to keep this in mind next time we're up north and off the beaten path.

It is an older motor lodge at a great price and location. I had a little air conditioning issue, but, the maintenance man fixed it. The rooms were clean. I will defiantly stay here again next time I visit the Sonoma Wine Region.

It's half a mile pleasant strol to Plank coffee house and Trading Post restaurant. Our room was small, quiet (one story helps)  with a renovated bathroom - tiled shower instead of plastic bath cubicle. The owners have made an effort to enhance the place with plants in containers and a shady arbor with outdoor seats which we enjoyed. From there, although you are in a motel forecourt, you can see the hills around Cloverdale

Stayed here when evacuated for fires. Staff was very friendly and helpful, checking us in in person and quickly.

Room was clean, quiet, comfortable. All we needed and delivered anxiety free.

Reasonable rate/goodroom. Would stay here again.

This is most definitely a remodeled motor inn.
Perfect for a comfortable place overnight or two.
The rooms are just the right size and very clean.  
The bed was brand new and very comfortable and n room 109. 
I consider this a hidden gem and will return. 
The host is gracious and accommodating.

Quirky Little Inn. Pull up right in front of your room. It was hot when we got there and the AC worked like a million bucks. We had three rooms and they were all unique in the different ways they have been remodeled, but nothing to complain about. Little smoking section out front with shade and some friendly cats.  The next day they were having a car show so on Friday night they have a 'car parade' up and down the street. Pretty cool. Walked up to the World Famous Hamburger Ranch & BBQ for dinner, took about 10 minutes, awesome dinner! Went back for breakfast , not as good as dinner.

Very helpful and friendly staff

Rooms are small & dated but have been renovated. Tile floor (wood grain look) was very nice. Heater was great & quiet compared to most. Parking & staff were great. 
My only gripe was a $30 fee for my 6 pound dog. Next time I'll bring my 160 pound Great Dane 😉
