The room was very clean and fresh. It appeared that the room had been recently renovated it was very quaint and quiet and it was a great place to stay at the last minute. We stayed in room # 28.  If we were to ever visit that area again we would definitely make arrangements to stay in this motel. We’ve been traveling now for 15 days and this motel was in the top 3 cleanest rooms including the Fairfield Inns & Suites by Marriott all the way down. There was a little confusion because on the Internet when we were googling this particular coyote motel is also known as the Gold  Dust lodge in Black Hawk Colorado.

Great people cold beer and you can pick up a $5 prerolled joint next door at Rocky Mountain Organics. Make this a must stop before heading to the Casinos you will not regret it. Thursdays they have 2 g’s of shatter or wax for $ 30.00

I like interesting places to stay. This was a very pleasent stay.

Didn’t Stay at the hotel but the liquor store had the coldest beer in Colorado

I booked this motel because it was (slightly) cheaper than the casinos. I booked online, received a confirmation email and a confirmation number for a room with two queen beds. When we arrived at the property we were told that the online reservation system "hadn't been working for weeks" and that our reservation WASN'T VALID, and that the motel was sold out (as was the rest of Black Hawk). NOWHERE on the website did it say this.

It gets crazier. After some frantic searching, one of the front desk attendants was able to find one room with only ONE bed still available. She gave us the key to look at the room and asked us to come back to the office once we were ready to book. We looked at the room, decided to book because it was literally our only option even though some of our guests would have to end up sleeping on the floor. When we came back (in the span of 5 minutes) to book, THEY HAD GIVEN UP THAT ROOM TO ANOTHER COUPLE THAT HAD JUST WALKED IN. While we still had the key and were inside looking at it!

Apparently they had one last room left above the owner's residence that we were eventually given with a small discount. The room was decorated nicely except for the 20-30 dead fly carcasses all over the windowsill and inside the bath tub, some still alive.

I'm giving two stars because the shuttle driver, Judy, was very sweet and helpful, and the scenery at the property is nice. Other than that, the rooms are pretty dirty and the management entirely disorganized. Will be booking a stay at the casinos next time.

Completely disorganized

What a complete dump! Stayed there last night sight unseen and regretted ever second of our stay. The place was dirty, filled with the scourge of the earth, overpriced and bug ridden. We should have looked at the room before booking because their website lies about the place. I wish I could post pictures because I have a ton showing how horrible this place is. I also got bit up by bugs in the room and took off my shoes and my feet got dirty from their carpet. The sheets were wrinkly underneath and I pray they were actually washed. The blanket was probably 20 years old and falling apart. The air conditioner didn’t work and the buttons were falling off the unit. They didn’t have a phone so you could call and tell anyone anything and no WiFi. So since you are in an area where your phone doesn’t work you are SOL on trying to call out. The toothless lady at the front desk was rude and she got the “owner” on the line and he is going to “check out the room” on Tuesday. We will see. $163.00 for a room that should have been $15 or maybe even condemned is ludicrous. Beware of this place unless you want to bring back something that you hadn’t bargained for.  Check it out before you stay and rethink it. You would be better off going up into Blackhawk and staying at one of the casinos instead. BEWARE!!!!!!!!

They don’t have any pics of rooms because they are ashamed of them also. I only took a few and the lighting actually made the pictures look better than the place looked. DO NOT GO HERE TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.

BEWARE THIS DUMP!!!

Go up the hill to the casino area. Much nicer places up there. The rooms are very tired and the beds are the old spring type so if you are sleeping with your partner everytime they move you will as well.
