Shore Acres Lodge

A room with a view — I can see a little of the lake from my bed! We have a nice view from our porch where of the lake and the pool, ping pong table, here shoes and more. Our rustic lakeside cabin — probably built post ww2– has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 4 beds, full kitchen, and a big old fireplace; it's called Twin Pines (111). Some fo the others are even closer and have better views. We are next to the pool and jacuzzi and a hundred yards or so from the dock where our friend's boat is and where we can put in our borrowed kayaks. You can rent them in town too. So many different activities to choose from here in Big Bear from mountain biking (take a lesson -- my son did and said it was SO worth it) to hiking to lakeside fun, and this place is close to everything. The kitchen has a 5 burner stove and full size fridge -- everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner; last night we made burgers on the grill on the deck, then 5 of us comfortably hung out in the living room which has a nice large, brick fireplace. Peggy in the office onsite is awesome too.
