What a great property! Walkable and well appointed. Easy check in.

Check in/out was easy and the staff very friendly and responsive. Room is very spacious and clean. The hotel is at a great location , walking distance from nice restaurants and stores. Everything was great, the only thing it could be update is the cookware/ pans, other than that we loved it and we’ll definitely come back.

We booked the Brown Bear room at SoCal Vacations.  It’s right in the Main Street of Big Bear Village.  It had everything we needed for our family of 4, plus doodle pup.  We were able to cook in.  Communication was stellar.  Would definitely book again for winter or summer.

Definitely five stars!!! From checking in they had the fireplace and music going. The location is right at the village. Great communication through text and very clean place. Highly recommend getting the room with the spa in the living room. Thank you for making my birthday getaway amazing!

The unit was surprisingly spacious.  It was a one bedroom, one bath with the sink area separated from the tub/toilet which is nice.  The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes, pots, pans, etc.  There was a full size kitchen with stove, oven and fridge.  No dishwasher. The living room was huge with a sofa and a trundle bed that sleeps two.  The dining table is perfect for 4.  I suppose one could also use the kitchen counter to eat but there were no seats provided.  I would have no hesitation cooking in that kitchen but there were plenty of dining options nearby.The location cannot be beat in the heart of the Village and parking just behind the building.  I stayed on a Thursday night.  The village was happening but the room was not noisy.  I'm not sure whether it would be noisy on a Friday or Saturday night.The hosts had very good communication, and I would definitely stay there again.

This place a hidden gem. From the outside you would never guess that this place was an inn. My daughters and I are staying in room 3 which is called grizzly bear. It’s super spacious with a separate bedroom. You walk out the front door and you are right smack middle of everything. I highly recommend this place.

Guuuuys dont let the store front fool you. It's cozy Casual and chill So Much ambiance. We only used it to sleep wish we we stayed for the comfort. Can fit a few people but it was just 2 for us. We met friends and craved the "cabin" feel. It could be more updated but... To each their own. Price was right. They were amazing and they met all my expectations. Super personable and texted when needed! Please stay here and make it known it's super low key chill.

Worth the money!

The location! It’s middle of the village. We walked around with our dogs and enjoyed our stay.  Very warm rooms. We really like this place. The owner(?) is ver accommodating. We will be back. Two things we noticed: There was not enough hot water for the bath. The lock system is good but you can hear the other guests’ beeping sounds whenever they open/lock the doors.

Took a one daycation to Big Bear just because . It was a choice between holiday ins or socal villa .  We stayed at Villa . The location couldn’t be any better . We stay at BlackBear and the window outside was spectacular. We see all the Christmas decorations and people outside just having a good time . Room was nice and clean . Except one thing was really off . The fridge ! Man, that fridge is loud ! Need to replace that fridge asap .

5/5 Stars - A Cozy and Relaxing Stay!We had an amazing experience at SoCal Vacations - Village Inn at Big Bear! The room was cozy and had everything we needed for a memorable getaway. The fireplace was a highlight, keeping us warm and providing the perfect ambiance for making s’mores.The kitchen was fully equipped, and I was able to use the stove and oven to cook breakfast and bake cookies, which made our stay feel just like home. A heads-up: the smoke detector is a bit sensitive, so be careful while cooking!The hot tub in the middle of the living room was such a unique feature and worked perfectly after a long, cold day exploring. It was clean, the jets were powerful, and it provided the ultimate relaxation. The only minor downside was that it took about 45 minutes to fill, but we never ran into any issues with running out of hot water. However, one thing to note is that the blinds in the corner of the room were broken, so we had to hang a towel over the window for extra privacy while using the hot tub.Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and we loved taking advantage of all the amenities. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a cozy and fun retreat in Big Bear!

Really nice and cozy space. Fully stocked apartment like room steps from the village. Good marks all around except for a few things, such as having 2 beds but listed as only sleeping 2 people. We unfortunately had to book another room at a hotel next door for our 2 additional family members. They wouldn't allow more than 2 in the room. Also the couch bed bracket was broken when we got there, still folded out but we couldn't fold it back in. Other than that we had a great time

Great space! But...

I had an amazing solo stay at SoCal in Big Bear Lake! The space was perfect—comfortable, clean, and in an ideal location close to everything I wanted to explore. The value for the price was unbeatable, especially for the quality of the accommodations. Communication was clear and friendly, and the staff were incredibly professional, ensuring I had everything I needed for a great stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, and I can't wait to return!

Amazing Value. Unbeatable Location!

This was the perfect place for us to spend a night in big bear. The space was large and had a lot to offer. Our favorite is the jacuzzi tub! We were also able to walk to get something to eat after a long drive in less than a minute! The host was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. Thanks!
