Decided we wanted to take a drive and ended up here. The lodge is beautiful. The whole park is beautiful. We stayed in the lodge. No complaints with the room at all. The restaurant servers were all so friendly.   The food was okay.  We would come back again maybe not for dinner. Views were nice everywhere.

I may have already reviews this place , but they are asking me to do it, so maybe I forgot. Berkeley Springs is a weird place. This place takes the edge off. Great golf course right there at the hotel. When we went it was all brand new and nice. There is a reso here, but the food wasn't that great, but there is plenty of other choices nearby. They have a nice patio area with fire pits. It's a really nice place in a state park!!

A truly phenomenal and beautiful place. We stayed in the handicap accessible cabin and it was wonderful. The accommodations were fantastic as was the spa We now plan to go back in August. Great lounge and dining room

We've come now 2 years in a row, but next year we need to stay longer.  Last year we stayed in the new lodge; this year in Cabin #8, which was just awesome.  It exceeded our expectations.  The cabin is well sealed, very clean, and upgraded as far as kitchen appliances and appearance. The one bedroom with loft suited our needs perfectly - just the 2 of us with our 8 yr old son. The privacy and quiet woods was just what we needed.  We are grateful for this park, which is approx. one hour from our home.  Dale as park volunteer who led the morning nature walk is also greatly appreciated. He is a gem.

Cacapon State Park is one of the best vacation spots we've ever discovered!  My husband is a hard-core mountain biker and the park has trails rated green to black diamond.  For me (I am not a mountain biker), there were many activities including a Medicinal Weed workshop, a geological hike, and wildlife watching from boats on the lake.  Plus Healing Waters Spa onsite is fabulous, and the staff at the spa is exceptional.  I had an 80-minute facial by Hendrina, a Moor Mud detoxification treatment by Veronika, and we both enjoyed a couple's massage. Massage Therapist Greg gives a phenomenal deep-tissue massage!  The staff at the lodge were a joy, and I especially want to give a shout-out to John at the bar and Tammy in the restaurant.

We’ve stayed here a number of times and it is always a good experience. The lodge rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the staff does everything to tend to your needs. We like to golf and the convenience to the course is great. Can’t say enough good things about the pro shop staff. They are extremely accommodating … getting a twosome off before a group, etc.  and…..green  fees reasonable.  Pool and jacuzzi after golf ….. great

Five stars to all the staff at Cacapon Resort. Everyone made us and our extended family feel so welcome. Special thanks to Matt at the front desk, Dan at the Skeet shooting, all restaurant staff (including Ashley, Brenda, and the rest of the gals). You accommodated our whole family and really made us feel special. Plus, this is a beautiful, clean, well run resort.  We will definitely be back

We 3 friends stayed in Cabin #2.  It was so peaceful, lots of different types of birds singing, spring peepers, wood frogs.  Just perfect for 3 people.  All new furniture and appliances, it appears.  The only caveat would be, there are 2 double beds, not 1 double and 2 twins as advertised, so we had to use the couch for an extra bed.  Also, Cabin #2 is on a hill with lots of stone steps to climb so be aware if you're older or handicapped.

We went on a day trip and enjoyed our time there,  trails were good and could accommodate all levels.  Waterfalls area and view of the mountains and lakes were all worth spending time.  The restaurant offered great views  and served good food. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

Cacapon State Park has been a favorite golf destination for my crew for years but recently my fraternity has been holding our reunions at the lodge. There are a multitude of fun things to do at the park and the setting is very serene. Good value, nice staff, beautiful location - what more do you want?

Simple Beauty

First time visiting this Park (& we live only an hour away in Harpers Ferry), and we've already decided upon a return trip. The weather turned cool and wet, so it wasn't ideal for hiking, but this Park offers so much for family travel. Next time we plan to fish, swim in the lake, hit the playground and more hiking trails. There's also horseback riding. The Park is kept amazingly pristine; we loved the quiet, and the hotel is top-notch. Gorgeous setting, and not too far away at all. Another hidden gem in our beautiful state of West Virginia. The evening walk led by volunteer naturalist Dale was an extra bonus: thanks, Dale!

Another gem in the WV State Park system.

We spent two nights in a King room facing the golf course, in the remodeled section of the lodge.  Everything was new and beautifully done.  Very spacious.  Our only quibble was that the fridge (ample size) didn't have a freezer.  But everything else was excellent.  There is a lovely patio area where you can sit and eat, if you want.  Everything is beautifully remodeled.  We spent an entire day at Harpers Ferry, so we didn't have a lot of time to explore the State park, but we did stop in to visit the Nature Center, which was nice.  Being only 10 miles from Berkeley Springs is a big plus, as it is a really charming town, with wonderful cafe and restaurants and shops
