We stayed here for the weekend while with a large group of football parents in town for a game.  First of all, this place is a great location with views of the lake and a very nice quiet location even though you are close to the highway.  The people at the store/check-in area were extremely friendly and helpful.  We had forgotten towels and they rented us some even dropping them off at the cabin for us.   The cabin itself is amazing.  Big enough for a family reunion with a full kitchen and a nice fire pit outside.  The rooms were large and everything was very clean.  The cabin is attached to the indoor pool which is very convenient especially when it is cold out.  I cannot say enough about the accommodations this place is top-notch and it had a twin cabin attached that we even used the same size and design also with a kitchen.  Thanks very much for a great place to stay at a very reasonable price in the Bemidji area.

We needed a quick stop off US 2.  This park is perfect! We were able to grab a pull through for the night.  The only negative... This park seems to have a lot to offer, wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice campground!  Very friendly staff and campers.  We enjoyed our stay in a 32 foot RV with a pull through lot and full hook up.  It wasn’t perfectly level but it was a nice gravel pad.  It has a well stocked store and little bar.

Delicious pulled pork & spinach wrap with grilled chicken breast and spinach/artichoke dressing. Perfect fresh cut fries and crispy tater tots. Huge salad bar. Kasey was our server. She was great! Gift shop had the best souvenirs and adorable signs   Super clean. Enjoyed very much. Go today!!

We arrived on August 18 along with 3 RV's filled with our friends. We rented a cabin, which turned out to be a mobile home. That's fine, it was a 2 bedroom and very clean and roomy. The step-son and his wife and the 2-1/2 year old twins arrived to stay with us a couple of hours later. During the week, there were 25 people in our group although not all of them were there at one time. 
On Monday, we rented a pontoon for the day and traveled, along with the two boats that our friends had brought and found a nice beach in the Chippewa National Forest on Pike Bay. The twins had a good time and so did everyone else which included 4 more kids. We all went back to the campground where we shared a meal.
Tuesday was a little colder so we went to Walker to the North Star Casino then back to Cass Lake to the new Cedar Lakes Casino then back to the campground for supper. Some  of our group had been fishing but hadn't caught anything. Wednesday was spent at the indoor pool (5$ per person per day.) The smaller twin developed an earache and was hauled off to the hospital in Bemidji where they checked him in for the night. Thursday, the fish finally started biting and by Friday night, we had our own "all you can eat fish fry."
The gift shop area sells ice cream and just about everyone in our group was indulging in mixed flavors of cones.
Cass Lake is 4 or 5 hours from the Twin Cities but it was worth it to enjoy the lake and pines and watch the eagles soar every day.


This is a big time RV Park!  It is connected to Cass Lake by a canal system that allows just about all the sites to have water access, which is very cool!  We got a back spot with a view of the canal, lake & beach.  The site had a concrete pad, electric (30&50 amp), sewer and water.  The hookups were nice and the lot was level.  The clubhouse was nice with a store in front with a lot of supplies, just in case you forgot something.  The check-in was quick and the staff was very friendly.  The bathrooms & showers were not only clean, but the water had a nice spray and was warm as well.  The roads were a little tight getting the rig in because there is a lot of parking alongside the roads, but we did get in without incident.  I can recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area, especially with a boat.

Great Cabins for large groups

We had great weather and a great time.

Nice place, just big and a little crowded, but every amenity!

Food is superb! 

So, our family has traveled to many campgrounds over the years and I found this campground to be just average.

Pros: 
*If you have a boat, this is a great place. Awesome place to dock your boat for full lake access.
*Great beach for little kids. Not so much for anyone over 3 ft tall. The beach area that is marked off is literally knee cap level.
*Really nice apparel and gift shop. Probably the best one I've been to. Has everything under the sun.
*Restaurant and bar area is lovely. They have an outdoor patio so you can enjoy the outdoors. Food was very good:)
*Staff is wonderful!!

Cons:
*They nickel and dime you for everything. If you have more than 2 people, it's $5.00 per day, per extra person. Have pets? Plan on paying $5.00 per pet, per day for them too.
They have an indoor waterpark but guess what? You gotta pay for that too. 
*Prices to rent a boat are ridiculous. We have rented pontoons at other campgrounds and this one was by far the pricest. 
*We stayed in the full hook up back in sites. Plan on having NO yard. We couldn't even set up our bean bag game. And the dogs barely had a spot to go to the bathroom.
However.....the pull thorugh full hook up sites are lovely. So if you can, grab one of those. You'll be much happier;)
*Not a really dog friendly place. No dog park and there is no area to even play fetch or play with your dog. 
*Located right next to a busy road so the sounds of traffic can be annoying. There is nothing they can do about that....I get it. But, it kinda takes the nostalgia of camping away.

Overall we were happy but won't plan on traveling back.

We rented cabin 3 which had a nice view of the lake, playground, etc. but it smelled so bad we could hardly stand it (like someone had smoked in there for decades, in combination with other smells we couldn't identify). Ironically there was a no smoking sign on the wall  We had every window and sliding door open to try to air it out .IIt also wasn't very clean but my standards are pretty high. The base of the toilet hadn't been wiped down in a long long time, there was someone else's hair on the shower wall, etc.  This was a special occasion to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday so we decided to look past these issues and just enjoy ourselves.  When we reserved this cabin, the woman at the resort said it was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and I told her it was just my husband and I and we just wanted a lakeview and full kitchen.  She said they'd close off that 3rd bedroom for our stay.  The website and email confirmation show that all cabins include deck, lawn chairs, table, picnic table, fire ring and grill.  On the 2nd day, we both woke up from a nap as we heard a man and child's voices loud and clear. At one point my husband saw them looking in through the screen door. The resort had rented out our 3rd bedroom to this family of 4! That bedroom is on the other side of our livingroom couch & the walls are very thin so we heard their conversations.  That 3rd bedroom has a bathroom that backs up to the only bedroom on our first floor, right behind our heads (again; thin walls...) AND the only door to get into this 3rd bedroom was on our deck.  We were floored that the resort would rent out this bedroom without letting us know it was even a possibility.  That 3rd bedroom was being rented as a motel room which doesn't come with deck, grill, firepit etc.  With COVID going on, I searched high and low for a place where we could social distance and get away from it all.  There was no way we could share this deck with a family of 4 and be 6 feet away from each other.  Besides the fact that we're assuming their kids would want to use our firepit too?  My husband called the front desk and they offered to bring that family their own firepit which wasn't enough since we'd still be sharing a deck.  And while they didn't seem to understand our anger and frustration with the situation, they did let us out of the rental and only kept our security deposit of $250.  This was Friday afternoon around 4:00 and was a big disappointment.  Of course we couldn't stay here as the cabin smelled too bad to hang out inside and we came to enjoy the lake views from the deck.  Thank goodness my husband was able to find us another cabin to rent for the weekend, about 15 min. away at Break on the Lake, which was really great.
