Very close to New River Gorge and lots of restaurants

I came to West Virginia from Florida after the last two hurricanes destroyed my home because my best friend said it was one of the most cost effective places to live. I stayed at Smart Extended Stay and honestly couldn’t have been happier. It is an older hotel but everything in West Virginia seems a little dated but The customer service is above par. They saw a need I had and without a word to me they created a solution for me. I am so grateful that I stayed here I truly believe God was moving through these people because I moved here without knowing a single soul and they went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and I had a place to stay. I’m so grateful for the people that work here and own it. ❤️💪👌

Amazing People!!

Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Our heater was smelling like there was something wrong with it. We turned it off and were comfortable but figured we better let someone know. A fire would have been awful. They insisted on moving us to a different room. The new room was an amazing upgrade. It was a wonderful and unnecessary gesture. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I didn’t realize this hotel wasn’t a chain when I made the reservation (and if it is a chain, it really doesn’t seem like one). My first impression was that it was an odd place. The guy at the counter was nice, but definitely not trained in a corporate context (which was fine, he wasn’t inappropriate). The rooms had hard floors which is the reason we picked it—traveling with pets is always nerve-wracking. The price was reasonable, the room was clean. If you need more than a sheet, ask for an extra blanket when you check in. No breakfast to speak of. Overall, it was fine and we would stay there again.

Staying here for an extended stay for work. For the price, this is the best place in the area hands down!!  Management is absolutely wonderful and very accommodating! Rooms need a little TLC but still comfortable and had clean bedding and beds are comfortable. It has a basketball hoop in the parking lot and a little area to grill out and relax in the evenings.  And did I mention the management is absolutely amazing!!

Nice, clean place.  Hotels.com says it includes breakfast, but IT DOESN'T!  That's only for Econolodge guests.  No biggie as the breakfast has almost no protiens, just some scrambled eggs.  This place used to also have meat.  But cheap enough to still make it worth staying at and get a good breakfast elsewhere.

Good value.   Very little amenities.  Front desk staff was friendly.

1 building is great. All is easily accessible to food and fuel with many businesses around. Staff is helpful and are open to hear any needs.
