The staff were friendly and courteous. The property is older but my room was very clean and comfortable.

The owners were very nice and accomodating.Quiet place, no crackheads beating on your door at 3am like some S.Austin motels i tried first.

Room was clean, the AC worked, had decent bathroom and shower. Parking lot was well lit and the lady at the front desk was nice. Thanks!

The exterior could use updated paint, but the room was absolutely excellent, both in how it was laid out, the cleanliness, and care taken by staff. Everything was very positive during our stay.

Just fine for a low price hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. I’ve stayed here before and I’ll stay here again.

The staff were very nice to me and my wife.  We did have to put our dog in overnight boarding elsewhere, but I understand the hotel's policy on no pets.  Otherwise, very nice accommodations at a very reasonable price.

I knew this was an older hotel because one of my Uncles was the master carpenter who helped build it. The rooms are clean as long as you don't move furniture or look too closely at the walls. When I turned on the lights our little friends the roaches where all around the bathroom and vanity area. The white blankets had past stains, but they were clean. The beds were comfortable and the hotel staff was attentive and as some guests were playing loud music after 10pm the staff seemed to handle that well. Tiny roaches are not a deal breaker for me. They live in drains and the overflow of sinks and baths and are difficult to eradicate in older buildings.

Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.  I really liked that the room had a microwave, fridge and coffee in the room.   The ice machine was full and a great convenience.  I was pleased with the shower. Ceiling fan was a plus.   The towels were thin and small.The outside was a little scary, but ending up being safe.

My second stay at this motel. I had a nice room with a king bed, ceiling fan, and working smoke detector. There is traffic noise from the adjacent highway but I use a white noise generator so no problem. I slept well. The fridge and some furnishings have seen better times but the price could not be beat. I felt safe. The desk clerks were friendly. I would stay here again.

We decided to make a last minute trip to area and this was one of the very few reasonable properties available. I was a little worried and was pleasantly surprised. The front desk person(manager and/or owner I think) was very nice. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the place was quiet. It’s an older place and there are some things that need attention like paint in bathroom area & ceiling water stains. Overall, it was a good place to stay overnight for us.

Last minute reservation, this was the least extensive hotel available. One of the coverings on one bed was stained and the fire alarm had been stolen. The bathroom suite was very new and quite nice. The beds were ok, maybe a little hard. Room looked freshly painted. Sleep was good, we like to run a white noise vector generator while we sleep so we didn't hear much from outside. Perfect place for people who just need a bed and bath. Lots of workers with pickups parked in the lot, so good for people who need to control cost. Right off the freeway, and a Waffle House nearby. Our coffee maker didn't work.

Good Motel for a budget stay

The motel from outside looks old but the rooms are maintained really really good. I m actually impressed by the maintenance and the management is very nice and friendly. Rooms are maintained very clean and they have trash cans for recycling and regular trash separately. It’s a good way of encouraging clean environment.

We planned on just finding a hotel passing thru Austin when we stopped for dinner and the night on way to Enchanted Rock to camp. Everything in the under $200 range was booked! So we saw some decent reviews on this one. right on 290 and with no reasonable options we stopped. Old looking outside but rooms are spotless and look brand new. Wonderful beds. Even on the highway we barely heard a sound bc of a window unit drowning it out. But not an annoying sounding window unit lol. Would stay here again. Easy to park on south Congress to enjoy That area then drive here to stay for way less! We also always like the motor in option for one nighters to park right by the room. A great find for a night or two. All guests were so quiet! Never heard anyone!

Unexpected comfort and quiet

The property was a little hard to get to due to one way streets around the location.   They also did not offer breakfast but did have a microwave and refrigerator in the room.   The room was clean no smells no bugs.
