I went to Austin on business and needed to get my own hotel to expense later. So I wanted to keep costs low. This budget hotel surprised me. It seemed to be an older hotel that was recently renovated to a more modern look. The Pink Sheep everywhere made it feel fun and inviting. The rooms were pretty big and spacious. The bathrooms were clean and everything worked properly. The A/C was nice and cold which is much appreciated because of the sweltering heat (June Texas Weather). The Location was pretty accommodating, its not in a ratty/ghetto area and its a hop, skip and a jump away from the downtown nightlife. It took me 12 minutes to get to 6th street and park (Tues evening). The Staff was very nice and just plain cool. My girlfriend was with me and also said that it was cozy and that it felt "special". I would recommend. If you have Hoity-Toity tastes then this is not the place for you. If you are realistic about what to expect at a budget hotel..the comfort level will surprise you. 5 out of 5 Jalapenos!
