Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn

When my husband and I visited Asheville ten years ago, we enjoyed it so much that we hoped there would be opportunity to return at a later date. That presented itself recently, and after carefully researching the area for a place to stay, I chose Abbington Green Bed and Breakfast Inn. It was a great choice. Cherie and Dean have created such an inviting, comfortable, and beautiful place for visitors to enjoy. Our room could not have been more perfect. The bedding, robes, bathroom amenities, spa tub, fireplace, fridge, chocolates on a tray, coffee maker....I am sure I have forgotten something. Our hosts, however, have not. They were helpful in providing suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and sites to visit, and the wine and cheese hour they have on the porch allows for interaction with other guests who share where they have gone. The breakfasts are beautifully presented and delicious. We were very appreciative of the accommodation made for us our last morning when we needed to get to the airport by nine. Thank you, Cherie and Dean, for having our breakfast prepared so early! This jewel of an inn is located on a lovely street, and it is easy to walk to many places. Others are a short drive away. Considering the devastation Asheville suffered due to last year's hurricane, it is impressive how well the city is doing. The shops and restaurants are wonderful, and the proprietors are very appreciative of people coming to visit. We are very happy we did, and the only regret we have is that we did not plan a longer stay.
