The Voyager Inn

I found this hotel very nice and totally enjoyed my stay there. Before making my reservation I saw some pictures and read some reviews and everything looked not so great. But I took a chance and booked it because the rate for a King-Bed room was only $108 per night, and I did not regret it at all. I believe that the hotel was recently remodeled, that’s why many of old reviews and photos do not apply anymore. The hotel’s building looks like a basic motel building from the outside, but inside the hotel actually looked pretty good, everything was clean. The front desk guy who checked me in was super sweet! I chatted with him a little the next day too, he is a super friendly and lovely person. I got a room on the 2nd floor. It was very quiet, I could not hear any noise from the outside. The room was huge, space there was awesome! The room was obviously remodeled and very clean. I liked the little kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. The King-Size bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was pretty big too. They left a lot of towels there. The bathroom amenities were of okay quality. Wi-Fi was working very fast. Basically I liked everything about the hotel and have no complaints at all. Also I would like to point out the hotel’s location, which was great. The hotel is just a few blocks from some parks, water front, many shops and restaurants. Public parking is right across the street from the hotel and is not included in the price of the hotel $15/day. But you can park free on the street after 6pm till 9am. Previously I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in Anchorage, and if I compare that to The Voyager Inn, the Sheraton completely sucks which is funny to realize. Not sure if The Voyager Inn would be a great option for business travelers, but for tourists I absolutely recommend this hotel!
