Cute little place that's nice and in a great location.  My daughter and I stayed here for a race and the staff was welcoming and friendly.  The rooms were just right, clean and cozy.  Breakfast was light and simple, but a good selection.

Nice fire pit area outside, but due to the amount of people there and the activities they are partaking in, we opted to not join.  

It really is a nice little place if you are looking for a little getaway.  :-)

Great Place and Close to Everything!

After more than a decade attending the Fall Festival at another inn down the road, physical restraints caused us to look for different accomodations.  We were able to secure a room at the Edelweiss that is accessible enough for our needs.  
I would not say they are ADA accessible; however, they are able to meet the needs of some with mobility issues if you let them know in advance.  There is a long, Sturdy ramp with handrails to get you from the side street or one of the parking lots up to the first floor. They also have sturdy, woden ramps that can be put in front of the doors on the first floor in order to get into a first floor room.  The first floor rooms are spacious enough to move around in a scooter or wheelchair.  Room 106 has a large bathroom with handrails & a handheld shower head and a large tub, which could work for some.  They also have a small bath seat that would help some who would need a seat in the tub.  There is access to the fire pit and during the swimming season, access to the pool.
The included continental breakfast is served in the basement and there is no access to the basement for those who have mobility issues.
The staff are friendly & helpful.  We look forward to staying again.

Perfect location, excellent hospitality

Great location, clean rooms and a pool.  Our room was pretty small but newly renovated bathroom with a walk in shower.  Different room options, hotel rooms and cabins. There is also a firepit outside which is nice to sit around and meet people.  Could use a little sprucing up on the outside.

Budget Friendly hotel.

This location is awesome. Everything is a block or two away, short walk to bars and restaurants and things to do. The place looks nice on the outside. The room had some issues, mildew on the ceiling. The sink dripped all night long.... drip. drip. drip. That sink also had screws in it from the top edges. The room was also very outdated. They advertise free breakfast. They will only serve it from 8am to 10am. We got there a few minutes before 10, there was no food out. You could smell food but nothing was nothing there but a container on the counter with some rice krispies and milk in a cooler.  I went to the desk, the person said that there was still time for breakfast. I said that there was nothing there. He said "Oh sorry." They have the best location. Don't expect anything beyond that. spring mattress was old and hard.

Great location, sucks otherwise.

We had a room in the Annex building.  After seeing how dated and worn everything was - and not sure how clean - we decided to drop the key in the key return box and drive 2 hours back home.  I tried to book an associated hotel and when I called the reservation line, they talked me into the Edelweiss because the other properties were booked.  I wish I had paid more attention to my misgivings.

Didn't follow through with our stay after seeing the place

I’m compelled to try to start with something (anything!) good about this business, so I’ll say it has a great location. That being said, it’s unfortunate that management has done absolutely nothing to take advantage of it’s highly desirable location nor appeal to a vacationer in this beautiful town! What a shame. I had read some reviews and was skeptical going in, though there was literally nothing else in town available, so we tried it. What an absolute disgusting, smelly mess! Gross is the first word to come to mind when entering the room. The bathtub was literal filth, there was black mold all over the white curtains, the sewage smell was overwhelming, hair clumps on the floor next to the rusty tub, a fire detector that was hanging off the wall, a smashed headboard, and carpet/bedding straight out of 1981. We had plans in town, and minus sleeping in our car in 12 degree temps, there were no other options…slept here for 4 quick hours just to sustain life! We were out the door by 6am. If these pictures were scratch-and-sniff, you’d have the smell burned into your memory. I’m not sure how this place passes any sort of inspection, let alone a reviewers opinion of acceptable.

Run Away! Fast!

I can write a story book about this place but you're only allowed 200 words so spend the extra money and stay elsewhere this place was probably nice at 1 time now it's a disaster falling apart My wife and daughter discovered hair Hanging from the bathroom shower You turn light switches on but there's no light bulb in the fixtures You look for a hairdryer after taking a  Nasty shower But that's missing from the wall with no replacement Headboard to the bed is fixed to the wall but they installed it on an angle Either that or the building is just Shifting and settling Please don't get me wrong I'm sure the adjacent buildings That are on the property look newer and they might be really nice but we stayed in the original building which is really old and desperately needs updating Rip out all the carpeting fresh paint new fixtures that actually work reduce the bathroom's new mattresses Is all new sheets and bathtowels burned them all And you would have a nice place. I'm sorry I do not have any photos to share I needed to get out of Dodge really quick my wife and daughter could not handle it at all.

Look elsewhere

I have only positive things to say. Cute, charming, clean, comfortable beds, quiet rooms, plenty of hot water. Lovely pool. Fire pit to mingle with quests at night. Two minutes walk into a sweet, small town where all the shops unique and friendly.  We found lots of entertainment in the evening.  We went to 3 hopping clubs.  Lots of friendly people and dancing.  That was an unexpected surprise.  We want to go back for a longer stay next time.

Positively the Best!

The location is great, although after that there isnt one thing that would entice me to ever book here again!
We were in one of the separate rentals behind the main hotel.
Nothing is updated! I pulled back the bedspread that looked like it was 30 yrs old and found hair on the sheets and black flecks of something.
There were crushed crackers or cookies on the rug in the bedroom and behind the LR couch. Apparently, thats not part of their cleaning process.
Holes in the walls, i got locked in the bathroom, bc the handle kept spinning!!
Absolutely the worst! Thx god we had a friend in town and stayed at their place.


Deserves less than one star!!

From some reviews i was expecting a lot worse than what we got.  Room was clean and spacious.  Within walking distance to downtown shopping and dining.  Even with the cold weather the walk wasnt bad at all.
