 Great warm welcome when we arrived.Guesthouse was lovely and warm and our room was lovely perfect for what we wanted.Just a 5-10 min stroll along the river into York which is beautiful and peaceful. Will def be stopping here again and would highly recommend

I needed a room for one night in York at short notice as I was asked to work at the NRM. Got this via LateBookers.com.  Very good location near centre of York (walk along river bank) and NRM (walk over river footbridge).
Got a warm welcome on arrival, comfortable room with tea facilities on the first floor front.  A good night's sleep and a hot shower in a spacious bathroom with an excellent breakfast afterwards. Can't ask for more really.

We decided to go and see a concert at the Barbican, York and to stay overnight. My wife tried lots of places in York for a weekend stay in Christmas season - York was full! Luckily she managed to book us into Goldsmiths last minute.....it was lovely. At the risk of repeating what others have said, we had a great welcome, the rooms were really nicely appointed, and the bed linen, furniture, towels etcetera were of beautiful quality. the en suite had a wonderful shower, the water was hot as was the central heating (it needed to be York was freezing!). The B&B was just a short walk from the centre of the City along the river, and if you wanted you could make this through the beautiful St Mary's / Museum gardens.
The Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and the full English was lovely and well cooked - I couldn't finish mine and still didn't need lunch. All round a very lucky find.

We arrived early for a two night stay, just hoping to be able to park up and then go and look around York. We where met with a warm welcome and shown where to park up (off of the road right opposite the B&B.). Our room was already ready so we where able to check in straight away. We where given a map of york and given directions for the best way to the centre (10 min walk along the river). The room was comfy and clean, Breakfast each morning was fantastic and tasted amazing. Also given the code for the WIFI which was free.

Would deffinately stay here again

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in September.Host was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had good variety and was well presented. We had the double room on the ground floor. Room was warm but we opened window to fix that. Ensuite bathroom a bit noisy but not a big issue. It was a lovely 10 minute walk along the river to the historic part of York. Yes there was dampness in the air while we were there but I believe it was  a case of 95% humidity down by the river and we had the window open to keep cool. It was damp inside and out. We had no problem with internet access and found the whole experience to be value for money.
