Clean,cosy,and very comfortable . A lovely comfortable room with very easy check in ,and a fantastic breakfast ,and they sorted out the parking for me . all you can hope for when staying away from home ,will definitely be my place to stay whenever I’m in York

We loved our stay here.  The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless. The shower worked really well.  Breakfast was delicious and the service was great.  It was conveniently located in a nice neighborhood, about a 15 minute walk from town. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location as we walked from the train and it is also central to the shambles area. Tidy room and very clean and well set up. Bed was a little hard and pillows could have been better but didn’t put us off. Lovely set up for breakfast and very kind and helpful host.

Absolutely beautiful B and B. Wonderful bedroom and the breakfast was to die for. Free parking if you book direct. Only 10 minutes walk to the centre. A must stay again accommodation. Will be recommending it to all my family and friends.

Stayed the night in the family room, was spacious , clean and comfortable beds.Location is excellent  with plenty of parking available, short walk from the Minster and with breakfast included great value for money would definitely return.

Number 34 is an absolutely delightful bed and breakfast positioned just the right distance to walk into and tour York. Our room was very clean, with updated carpeting and decoration that felt luxurious. The B&B is very well run with excellent organization and preparedness. They made us a full English breakfast each morning with generous portion sizes. I would highly recommend Number 34 and the city of York itself without hesitation to anyone considering a visit.

We stopped off for one night in York and stayed here. It was a very nice place and felt cosy and comfortable. A short walk to the minster and restaurants in town. Parking is easy outside and £5 a day of can be free if you book direct. Breakfast was very nice. Great place to stay.

Ideal family guesthouse only 7 minutes walk from York Minster. Stayed in a single room which was small. This was made up for by the bed was comfy for a good nights sleep, very powerful hot shower and good wifi. The breakfast was very good with cereals and hot food cooked to order. A very quiet location for an enjoyable stay. Very good hosts. Good value for money you wont be disappointed.(Book direct for free parking permit)

Had a lovely 2 night stay here over the bank holiday. Situated down a side street which was very quiet with no road noise at all. It is only a 10 minute walk into the centre. Delicious breakfast included. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when visiting York.

A lovely hidden gem. It’s located on a quiet street, just 10 min walk from beautiful city of York.   Very comfortable bed, clean, nice decor. Lovely lady checked us in and sorted parking. Lovely choice of breakfast for the morning. Highly recommended, we hope to return. You won’t be disappointed.

A lovely little place, 10 minutes walk from the city centre, with a couple of great restaurants only minutes away.

I had a double room to myself and it was perfectly adequate.  Spotlessly clean, plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe, hot water, with shower gel and hand wash in the bathroom.  Although my room was 'on the street' as it were, it was very quiet.  Heard a few doors opening/closing, but I suppose this is to be expected in an old building.  

Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, but only Nescafe coffee and ordinary Yorkshire tea, and biscuits.  No decaf coffee, or green/Earl Grey/fruit teas, and no hot chocolate.  If you want these you'll need to take your own.  No bottles of water either, which I found a little unusual, as most b & b's I've stayed in of late provide these.  

The room was lovely and warm when I arrived on the Friday, and the heating came on in the middle of the night, which I think is the wrong time for it to be on.  Saturday night it wasn't on at all, or Sunday morning, so having a shower in a cold bathroom was a bit brrr....!   I didn't mention anything as I was leaving on the Sunday morning anyway.

The choices for breakfast were good.  You have to fill out your requirements on a sheet the evening before, which is fine by me.  I only wanted scrambled egg on toast, but there's the usual full English, or vegetarian option, or a breakfast sandwich, and toast.  Limited cereals were available in individual boxes, and only orange juice it appeared.  

All in all a great place to stay, away from all the hub-bub of the centre, although only a short stroll away.  Would recommend.

Lovely B&B in a Wonderful City

Quiet location  and a few minues to walk to the Minster

Immaculately presented and so warm and welcoming. It was much closer to the city than we realised, parking outside and a lovely relaxing place to stay. 
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, I asked if they had any almond milk at breakfast, which they didn’t,  but there was a delicious full English breakfast on its way, with toast and coffee was plentiful. So I was a happy guest. I only mention it as we were there for two nights and the second morning they’d provided almond milk for me. I obviously I had to have cereal and my cooked breakfast. 
The  room was so warm and cosy, and the en-suite was well maintained. I will definitely book here when we visit York again.

I only choose to stay at Number 34, when visiting York. It’s simply great value for money and a great location - just a 5 minute walk from the city wall. 
Jason keeps improving Number 34 -  this time single serve ground coffee pots and another re fit room. Contact jason direct via the web site and he always beats the search engines price.

Getting even better

Weekend trip to York and Xmas market with family, excellent B&B Guest house very clean and modern and friendly owners, excellent fresh cooked breakfast which you choose night before, I had the single room and my family the family room with a double and 2 single beds, both nicely decorated and very warm,and only 10 min walk to city center, guest house situated in a quiet street with parking, a very pleasant stay and weekend 

Warm and cosy weekend 

I needed an overnight stay just to do a bit of sight-seeing and the B & B was close enough to walk to all the sights.   My single room was very small but ample for my one night stay; it was cosy and had an en-suite bathroom, with a super shower, which was perfect.  I had to fill in a breakfast sheet to indicate what I would like the following morning. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast and I had plenty to eat.

Great b and b!

Comfortable room on quiet street. Nice breakfast. Great being able to check in at lunchtime. Approximately 15 minutes walk to get to the city walls and a further 5 minutes to the Minister. We had no car so didn't want parking. Wished we could have stayed longer.
