The Coach House

Lovely stay, perfect hosts. Breakfast brought to room, juices, croissants, toast, butter, jams, fresh fruit and yogurt. Great start to the day not having to rush to get to dining room for breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Room pleasant and warm.

Stayed here for 2 nights midweek, wish it could have been longer! 

The location is perfect for walking into Bowness or Windermere and the room we had was superb. 

Plenty of room, great bathroom and dressing area. 

Continental Breakfast plentiful and Fresh, couldn’t fault anything

Absolutely loved our stay at The Coach House, we booked the king suite (room 4) which was large ,bright, airy and tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. It was our first time in the Lake District and we were not disappointed. The hosts Mark and Emma were very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of advice on where to eat out etc.  The bed was super comfy,  continental breakfast ( which is delivered to your room) was lovely.   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Stayed a weekend in july2023...lovely place and felt most welcomed by the host Mark and Emma..amazing breakfast brought to your door..just place the order night before..cleanliness was at the top of the agenda for the coachouse and nothing was to much trouble. Will defo stay again..car park was useful...although within walking distance of windermere as that's all we did even with the rain!!..room was lovely and fridge in room helped for few bits needed for us..overall will stay again and we did check out the studio apartment and maybe we will look at staying there as looked amazing...defo be back and credit to Mark and Emma at keeping a lovely place.

Just returned  from a lovely weekend, staying at the coach house, we absolutely  loved our stay, Mark and Emma very welcoming, a lovely couple  who couldn't do enough for you, we stayed in room 4, beautiful  and very clean, super cozy bed, nice seating area, and breakfast brought up yo your room, was delicious, lovely hot toast, fresh fruit and coffee, etc, if I had to say one minor fault and not really a fault at all! just a suggestion  would be to offer tea in a morning aswell as coffee, only because we are big tea drinkers, we didn't go without tho has we had tea and fresh milk in the room. Thankyou 
for a lovely stay and hope to return very soon .

What a lovely place, just got back from a night away in the river studio it was just perfect so relaxing. It has all the facilities you need, very clean and decorated lovely! Couldn’t off wanted anything more perfect will definitely be back.

Could not recommend this place enough. Perfect location on the road between Bowness and Windermere. Hosts couldn’t help us enough. Asked them to put Prosecco in the room for arrival for my wife’s birthday and it was there chilled along with a birthday card off the hosts, nice touch. Breakfast of your choice delivered to the door every morning (bagels, juice, yoghurt with fruit) and was spot on. Room spotless, lovely shower.  Been to the lakes countless times and this is the only place that’s made me sign up for Tripadvisor to review. Will definitely be going back. 

Great location twixt Windermere and Bowness. The accomodation is clean and well maintained and the breakfast service spot on. If I was to nit pick I would have liked a shelf in the bathroom for our toiletries, but otherwise it was all good.

Just back from our first stay at The Coach House, honestly cannot fault a thing.
Emma & Mark are lovely and welcoming, our room (4) was beautiful and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast is continental and delivered to your room, good choice, warm and delicious!
The Coach House is now our go to guest house when visiting Windermere.

We took a short midweek break here this week.  We were met on arrival and Mark made us feel very welcome.  We knew beforehand that breakfast would be brought to our room and there was a choice in the continental menu.  Our room was at the top of the stairs.  It was light and very comfortable.  There was coffee and tea provided.  We had asked for decaf and we’re pleased with the supplies.

Although parking was a little tight it was manageable.

A great place to stay and not too large.

It was on a good bus route if required and was midway between Bowness and Windermere village.  There were plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Perfect!

A Great Little Escape

As I turned up the drive I met Mark as he was outside. Gave me the warmest welcome and explained how it all worked due to COVID. Upon entering the hallway, the place is gorgeously furnished. Did have a little trouble getting the key into the door lock but got used to it after a few uses.
Bedroom was lovely and bright but cosy at the same time. Did have to turn up the radiator as window was open for ventilation so a little cool.
Breakfast is continental and I opted simply for Croissant, Banana and Orange Juice. The croissant was lovely, warm and toasty.
Communication was mainly on text message and so upon the end of my stay I texted asking what I needed to do and received a very prompt response.

Hope I haven’t put too much but as I say, really great stay and I’ll definitely be back.

Warmest, cosiest BnB I’ve been

Having had an enjoyable stay at the B and B two years ago in 2019, I thought surprising my partner with a weekend break to The Coach House again would be a perfect gift for his birthday. Our expectations were maintained and we had a lovely time, finding the B and B to be as enjoyable as it was the first time. To make the break extra special, my partner then surprised me by popping the question on the lake. I couldn't think of anywhere else I would want to celebrate these two special occasions, with hosts who catered for our every need and who were so lovely throughout our stay!
