Staff were amazing,  ameneded our dinner reservation without any issues.  Food was amazing for dinner and breakfast.  Staff were super friendly withnua and the kids. Room was fab! 10 minutes walk to beach,  couldn't als for more, will definitely return!

My husband and i booked an overnight stay for valentines day, we were greeted warmly by very friendly staff, the hotel itself was very inviting with beautiful decor and a relaxed vibe our dining experience was lovely amazing food served by a very sweet waitress followed by a delicious breakfast the next day. Our room was perfect, spotlessly clean with everything accessible for an overnight stay, we loved the little valentines touches added to our stay little heart chocolates on our pillows and beautiful red roses on the dining table for dinner followed by a fantasic jazz band playing throughout the evening. We would both highly recommend visiting this hotel it did not disappoint, we will certainly be visiting again soon.

Great staff here with the kids and dog. Couldn’t believe how welcoming the place is for dogs. Lovely bar area where we met many other dog owners and had a few drinks. We played some pool and board games. We had a nice carvery in the evening and a very large breakfast the following day. The staff are super friendly and will help with anything you need. There’s a really easy, 5 min, walk to the beach. Only downside - our room was on the top floor, which means it had very low ceiling I struggled with (I’m 6ft 3) and we could hear the people in the next room. Minor inconvenience given the price and quality of everything else

We often return to Dormy House if we are in the area.  We like that the breakfast is included in the price and that the check out time being 11am is later than other hotels in the area.  The location is good, you can walk a path alongside some fields down to the beach. Staff are friendly, the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and a lovely bar area. The prices are very competitive as a last minute booking compared to other hotels of the same standard . All in all very good although some rooms are not well sound proofed and you can hear music from the bar or your next door guests. Another plus is if you have a dog they only charge a small amount per stay unlike their neighbouring competition.  I’m sure with a quick call to the helpful reception staff prior to arriving they could advise which rooms would be quieter.

The gentleman on reception who checked us in was very helpful check in experience was excellent.

I love the refurbishment and particularly like seeing the black and white photo of Rod and Elton in the bath.Superb welcome by Owen on Reception when I checked in. Nothing too much trouble.Lovely chat with the lady serving breakfast. I asked if I could take the Hungarian chef home with me!! An extremely memorable breakfast. As Arni would say "I'll be back"Thank you to all the wonderful staff at The Dormy House West Runton Norfolk.The bed was huge and cosy - don't make me go!!

We had the most comfortable, relaxed and lovely 2 night stay.  The staff were friendly, responsive and just really nice people.  The bed was SOOO comfortable and had very decent pillows.  The food was delicious and they catered for my coeliac disease with no problem or difficulty. The location is brilliant being close to fantastic walks and interesting Norfolk towns and villages. I'm pretty sure we'll be back before too long.  We came home refreshed and feeling very good.  Thank you to all the brilliant staff.

It’s a lovely place to stay breakfast is fantastic staff are very pleasant and professional, food was lovely xx could do with a little more comfy seating in and around the bar, I would definitely stay again

Excellent and well run Hotel. Lovely staff, great position on coast and value for money. Room 19 was perfect for our family.

Very comfortable, lovely family room that my 14 year old loved. Dinning area and bar very friendly,helpful and a pleasant place to be. Food good. Our only complaint was the shower had hardly any pressure, so i got up at 5.30am for a shower, before anyone else so i had more than a drip. Other than that perfect.

Brilliant start to the New Year

Lovely staff, nice breakfast. The carvery looked superb Al be it we didn’t get a chance to try it.Room was nice a little dated but nice enough. Most importantly clean.We were woken by cleaners very early on Sunday morning opening cupboards in the corridor which was annoying. They should Maybe leave the cleaning until a bit later on a Sunday.A nice walk to the Sea.A very long walk into Cromer if you fancy it or a short drive.Overall good value for the money we paid.

Very friendly staff but things were a little disorganised - there were staff illnesses - and there were several things not available on the menu. The food was a little expensive but reasonable quality. Breakfast was excellent. Our room (room 7) was dog friendly and quite light and spacious. It was nice being able to open the windows to a good view over the fields. West Runton beach is worth a visit, very interesting history about mammoths etc. The hotel is only a short walk to West Runton with a local pub and post office.

Arrived to complete chaos!  Crowds of people and dogs everywhere in the bar, reception and corridor outside the restaurant.  It appears they had overbooked for the Sunday carvery - not the best first impression and they were still offering tables to people who had no bookings.I felt very sorry for the staff who appeared completely out of their depth - there were so many angry and disgruntled people.The hotel room was fine, the sea view blocked by a big extractor vent in the way.  We were offered another room with a road view, but as we had paid extra for a sea view we stayed with the original room.

Good Location for the Beach

A great location. A lovely sized and well decorated room. The bar area and restaurant area were really well decorated and themed . I loved the multi coloured chesterfield sofa and chair as you entered. Staff were great and very friendly/ welcoming to us and our dog. The only criticism would be that the bathroom was very dated and was in need of a deep clean rather than an end of stay clean, more down to its age than a hygiene issue. We will happily come back again. A short walk from the beach for a great sunny day winter walk and a 5 minute drive into Cromer if that is want you want.
