We booked our prenotation online at booking.com. The position on google map and on their site does not correspond to their real position. Not having any sort of sign outside did not help at all. After 20 minutes wandering in the same street, we found out that the "hotel" was just like a normal house with no doorbell, no signs, no name beside the door. Even if they say the check-in closes at 11 pm, nobody was answering at the door or the phone at 10.30. We have never seen the inside, and we ended homeless at 11 pm in London, with 75 kg of luggages with us. After trying 3 different hotels and taking the underground and the bus multiple times, we luckily found a sistemation for the night. They didn't even bother to answer phone calls. Terrible experience.

My friend and I booked to stay 2 nights. Got an email a week ago saying we needed to prepay or we'd be charged an additional £10 late-check in fee (not mentioned on booking.com). Emailed back to ask for instructions. A week later (i.e. The day before) I get an email with Paypal instructions saying that once I paid they'd send details on how to get the room key. Paid and heard nothing. Day of check-in I emailed and messaged them to say "I've paid, where are my instructions?" Heard nothing. Messaged them that afternoon while sitting at Belfast airport. Land in London and phone- someone answers and gives instructions, yes there will be someone there to meet us in an hour. Gives us one address (not the one listed online) but says we need to get keys from a second (also not listed online). Get to the second address, no answer. Try to phone, no answer. Phone again, finally first guy picks up- landlord should be there in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later I ring again- guy can't get hold of landlord, give him 10 minutes. Did I mention it's pouring with rain? 10 minutes later I try to ring again, no answer. Finally get a text saying go to first address, someone will be there to give us keys. Meanwhile a local guy has walked past and told us the landlord is very bad and lots of people have been having issues. We were about to give up and go elsewhere when I get the text. Walk to first address (still raining), lady answers door and wants to know what sort of room we've booked (why she doesn't know is beyond me). We're then told that we're staying at a third address and she'll order is a taxi. Then she decides to go to the second address (the one we'd been standing out the front of)- there's spare rooms there we can stay there. Back to the 2nd address (but first one we stopped at- keeping up?). The rooms are sort of clean (just don't look under the beds which haven't been swept or vacuumed in ages) and dry and warm (but nothing like the advertised pictures). However, my bed doesn't have pillow cases or a towel, the mattress is so old you can feel the springs, the shared bathroom smells like the bin hasn't been emptied in a week, there's no toilet paper (!), no internet, no kitchen or laundry facilities (as advertised), and no one at the property you can complain to. Sound proofing is non-existent so I could here everything happening in the neighboring rooms and out on the street. Felt so unsafe we took our passports and valuables with us when out of the room and left our bags locked!!  
Is it possible to leave negative stars on tripadvisor? Whatever you do, do NOT stay at Carmen Casa.

DO NOT STAY - NIGHTMARE MOTEL

Made a reservation through Booking.com and after I received a 
e-mail asking me for estimated time of arrival which I replied explaining all the details.
On the date of the check-in exactly when I was taking my flight in to UK I received a e-mail telling me that the address to pick up my keys was now another and in case  of any doubt to contact them through the provided cellphone 
Since I landed in UK  we tried for four hours to contact them with no success 
So we headed to the provided address and once we get there we rudely we're received by the 
cleaning men who of course couldn't take care of anything concerning our reservation 
I'm talking about the facilities on 10, Swinton Street near Swinton Hotel.
Of course for the budget of this "Guest House" we could not expect any kind of luxurious facilities but I think there should be a minimum of standards to be accepted on Booking.com
After we've done our "check-in" ( pay only on cash and no papers or invoices ) and then see the rooms which we're being fixed and "cleaned" on that right moment
During our conversation with the so called responsible was explained to us that the rooms we reserved were now full and therefore they would have send us to another address and for this budget we were not conscious of the real value we were paying 
Let just finish by explaining the real situation in the rooms. DIRTY, FILTHY BROKEN WINDOWS HOLES IN TILES USED PAPER TOILET 

SIMPLY AVOID IT !!!

Really decent stay, they got many houses near by, I can write little review only for that room which we tried for 4 night. It's good just for sleeping but bed was really uncomfortable, anyway cheap and good accommodation. No kitchen available, so prepare for it :) 

Decent stay in London 

We booked as an affordable option in London, It was imperative that we pay in cash, which should have been our first red flag. There were people screaming, and threatening to call the police if guests did not leave. It was small, tight, and honestly scary.
