The Joys of Life Country Park

This is a very well maintained CL site. The landscaping/gardening is beautiful. Everything is in good order. It only has two toilets, and they are in the process of completing a shower room. The toilets were kept clean, and supplied. The hard surface id crushed shale and very well compacted. The pitches were mostly level, and only slight adjustment was required to some. It was generally very quiet and peaceful. Carlo and Liz were extremely helpful with everything, advice and directions etc. We picked it as it was so close to ZipWorld (but you can't see or hear it) It was an easy half hour walk, and probably no more than a 5 minute drive. A pleasant walk around the lake, and through the grounds at the rear taking no more than 10 minutes bought you directly into the town, which provided pubs and mini supermarkets. We found everyone to be welcoming and pleasant. We only tried the Lion pub, which was full of locals, half expecting the cold shoulder, but they were as friendly as anything. Would visit again the site and the pub.
