The restaurant offering was excellent.  A lovely welcoming ambiance and lovely food.  The menu choice was good and value for money was also good.  The food was really delicious and well presented and I can’t wait to go again.  Plenty of roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables to accompany the meal.  I had the nut roast and it was so good.  My husband had the beef and said it was tender and tasty.

Well where do I start! 

How about a very warm welcome from the staff and an excellent bar service with a multitude of local beverages to tempt us. I settled for a Abber Falls Gin which was a great start to proceedings. 

Our party of ten were presented with a neat and tidy well balanced menu and the choices made. What was to follow was completely unexpected….

The request for a wine list brought a prompt choice of a perfectly chilled bottle of Montagne and served in a real ice bucket without request. How very refreshing these days. The choice of red was a brilliant Medoc and a 2010 at that. Even without decanting but it was absolutely delicious out of the bottle. 

My starter of Garlic King prawns were simply fantastic and cooked to perfection, as were all of the other choices around the table. No baskets of bread required here and excellent portions brought great satisfaction to the conclusion of starters. 

The menu gave two beef choices, one being a local filet and the alternative a sirloin. Opting for a rare filet I could not have been happier when it arrived. A super generous cut and rare to perfection. Talk about melt in the mouth an absolute taste sensation. The accompanying wrapped asparagus and local baked sliced potatoes worked perfectly and despite me not taking advantage of an available sauce, three mustard options appeared in front of me to select from if required.

Bravo all concerned but certainly a huge well done to Head Chef “Rich Netherlands” for clearly having immense pride in what he delivers to the tables.

Absolutely brilliant and totally unexpected.

Having been bought up on Anglesey my entire childhood right up until my early 20's, I knew of Nant Yr Odyn and had actually worked there for a short but beautiful time.   
It was therefore inevitable, that I introduced where I used to live to my boyfriend.
Arrived to visit my parents grave at the beautiful church yards away, we entered the beautiful entrance where we were greeted with such a warm welcome.  

Escorted to our immaculate room we took in the view of Snowdonia mountain on a beautiful sunny day.  

We ventured out to visit my family and returned to a pre booked table, where we ate the most deliciously prepared and presented meal.  

We continued the evening in the area in the garden.

Would recommend for anyone,  wishing to have a relaxing stay on Anglesey with outstanding views, delicious food and attentive staff. 

Can not wait to visit again this coming weekend,  this time for 2 nights.

We went to the restaurant at Nant  yr Odyn as a party of 14 which included 4 young children.  It was to celebrate my 60th birthday and the experience was excellent from booking to leaving. 
We pre ordered and all our food was served as we'd requested, delicious and as described. The staff couldn't have looked after us better, being especially patient and friendly with the children and going above and beyond to make us feel relaxed.  The food was absolutely wonderful, all 14 of us ate up everything and enjoyed our meals enormously. We asked for the conservatory to have a room to ourselves and it worked perfectly.  We will definitely book again for a large group without hesitation.  And the added bonus for us- it's really nearby!

A one-night stopover on the way to Holyhead. Although we arrived later than planned the hotel had reserved dinner for us and much appreciated. 
Accommodation was excellent; comfy bed, walk-in shower, and room immaculate. Good breakfast  The staff were very friendly.
At £90 per night competitively priced.

Just had  Sunday lunch.  Magnificent.  Best we’ve had anywhere in ages.  So efficiently run and staff friendly & welcoming.  Wish we were on Anglesey for another one so we could try other menu options 

A genuinely lovely country hotel. In a beautifully peaceful rural environment yet with great connections to the rest of Anglesey, Nant Yr Odyn is a fabulous spot to base yourself in. 

I was greeted by the hotel cat, Steven,  who was relatively aloof,  but every other member of staff was friendly, polite and helpful. I anticipated my room being chintzy and ruffly but was pleasantly surprised to discover a simply and elegantly decorated, supremely comfortable hideaway.

The breakfast, included in my stay,  was delicious. Local, high quality produce and freshly prepared. I have no reason not to believe that the evening meals would be similar and I hope I'll get the chance to treat myself another time. 

Highly recommended for a relaxing, well- positioned stay on Anglesey. 

We stayed here for a couple of nights for a family wedding nearby. 
The staff are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for visiting Anglesey. 
The breakfast was excellent and so was the meal we had there on one evening.
The room was spacious, comfortable and warm.

Beautiful location in  North Wales.  Very welcoming hosts, taught me a little Welsh. The hotel has real character, room very comfortable with all the amenities you need. The aroma of a roast dinner filled the lounge. Looking forward to a good night sleep and breakfast in the morning.

Booked a table for 13 on the Saturday night of the bank holiday weekend for my mum’s 60th birthday. They even accommodated a short notice change of time for the booking. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. The menu was varied and everyone was happy with the options on offer. The food was really high quality and everyone really enjoyed it. It was a great choice for such a special event and my mum had a lovely evening.

An Exceptional Dining Experience.

This was an unusual overnight stop. The conversion was typical of those done in the '70's and basic things today like soft close room to corridor doors were missing. The menu appeared very traditional Welsh/English too. Eventually though these early observation flaws didn't matter and became almost  'endearing'. The beds were comfortable, clean and fresh with quality biscuits around the tea/coffee maker. My room was missing a TV 'remote' and the staff went above and beyond by bringing a replacement TV with it's 'remote' to my room. The staff were one of the reasons for making this stay memorable, old school service but with real Welsh warmth. And the food. The menu may have looked as though all the dishes were just like those anywhere but the way they were cooked was amazing. Real flavours, they really did taste home cooked but only if home cooking was of a really high standard. We finished the meal with an expertly made Irish Coffee and I can't remember a better one since my first experience of thse in the late '60's. We would most certainly stay here again

Lovely place 

We recently booked a three stay, a few days before our booked date we were phoned to say that the restaurant would be closed on Sunday night, we said that we could eat elsewhere that night. Due to the inconvenience the lady said they would give us a bottle of wine, which we did not get.
On arrival the Hotel it looked deserted, we had to ring a number on the door, a lady greeted us showing us to a room on the ground floor along a corridor. We could not believe the state of this room, three single beds crammed in, stained carpet and an even worse stained chair. We tried the TV and that did not work, we found the lady, she would have to contact the owners, we had already decided that we could not possibly stay in that room. On her return we were offered a room upstairs, what a difference, more like the web site pictures. The food was good  and we really enjoyed the evening meal in the restaurant. 
The staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure if we would stay there again, after such a poor start, we would like to think the first room was a mistake.
