Fantastic
639 reviewsThere are lots of great pubs in Chester, one of my favourite pubs is Ye Olde Kings Head, its one of the oldest pubs in Chester dating from 1622 ,its a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip to Chester I take. A great looking pub ,interior is superb, dark wood features abound throughout this pub, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a really good pub to unwind in. We were here on a bitterly cold February night, pub was warm and inviting, very busy,we ordered pale ales from Wainwright's Brewery, these were served in pristine condition, we chilled out, warmed up and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, golden pale ale, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish, a classic British pale ale served in a classic British pub,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our pale ales in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Ye Olde Kings Head we had a great time. Ye Olde Kings Head is easy to locate along Lower Bridge Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, midday till 11pm. Friday, midday till midnight. Saturday, midday till 1am. Sunday, midday till 11pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning a trip to Chester.
