It was a lovely stay from the moment I arrived the receptionist Ant was very friendly and  helpful, breakfast was excellent lots to choose from, really tasty and all you can eat. Brilliant location to acsess the city, parking is a but limited.

We had an overnight stay and to be honest, this Premier Inn was by far one off the nicest, comfortable and friendly place I’ve stayed in in Chester. The bed was so comfy so I had a great nights sleep, it was quiet at night. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels. The breakfast was lovely with plenty to offer and all of the staff were so lovely and welcoming, they deserve so much credit, especially the girl who was on the desk when we were checking out, she was also sorting out the breakfasts, she was lovely. Even down to storing our bags while we went for some last minute shopping. Well Done Premier Inn Chester, our stay was lovely.

The usual  standard of rooms for a Premier Inn, clean and well presented, the bath was a welcome bonus. Breakfast was lovely,  usual selection. 
Parking was a nightmare! Directions given by the reception staff were vague,  we toured the city looking for the cap park which was "just around the corner "
Eventually found a car park, £18 per day so factor that into the cost of your trip. Chester's one way system is a pain. 

The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Unfortunately the cooked breakfasts were only lukewarm at best. We have found this to be a common downside at most of the Premier Inns we stay in.

Stayed here as wanted to be close to the centre and very good value. You can park under the hotel but it does have limited spaces. They do offer a reduced rate.

Room was spotlessy clean and adequate for our one night stay. Didn't like the location of the room as were level -1 so felt down in the basement of the hotel. The window overlooked the carpark. Felt quite claustrophobic and if was staying more than the 1 night I would've asked to move. No bath which was disappointing. Stayed at numerous premier inn locations and usually cannot fault the comfort of the bed, this time not so. Again, for the 1 night it was fine. No dressing table in the room. Very small room compared to lots of others we've stayed in. 
Clean and nice location, but wouldn't return.

Having stayed at this Premier Inn before, we enjoyed our stay enough to come back (6 years later).
We decided to try the Premier Plus rooms out this time and we have mixed thoughts on whether they’re worth the extra £30 p/n.

The room size is about the same, but the bed was a standard double compared to the king we’d had in our standard room years earlier. Still comfortable, but not big enough. The rainfall shower was spectacular, and the branded body wash was really lovely. The mini fridge was also pretty useful.

Maybe this is standard in all rooms now, but there is no phone, which meant I had to go downstairs to request a second towel they’d forgotten, and (unfortunately) toilet roll.
Be warned that the wall to the bathroom is very thin; couples beware. 

The reception is no longer manned constantly, meaning you need to ring a bell and wait. You also need to wait to be seated at breakfast. There was a fair amount of waiting around to be seen to. 

Breakfast is mid. There is a 50% chance you won’t get your toast. There were many abandoned toast slices at the back of the toaster. 

The free Wi-FI is terrible, which the hotel says is a ‘perk’.  Upon googling, as part of premier plus, the premium WI FI is supposed to be included,  but we were not informed of this.

The service is pretty sparse and impersonal, I would be surprised if there were more than 3 customer facing staff at any one point.

We had a terrible stay, the room smelt of stale cigarettes, it hadn’t been cleaned properly hairs in bath clumps of hair on carpet as though someone had been cutting there hair. The worse part was that the room was unbearably hot, the aircon didn’t work and the window was sealed shut so we couldn’t open it to let air in, had a terrible night trying to sleep it ruined our stay definitely wouldn’t return

Disappointed

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group visit and from booking it has been a disaster. I decided to extend my stay for a day earlier; little did I know how unhelpful staff would be to a point that I had to book the room separately and was advised to call them after so that they could merge my rooms. 

I did this and was told that they were unable to merge my rooms. In all of this all reception were incredibly rude and unhelpful. 

I arrived and check in was awful and apathetic to say the least. I did say that I would stay in my room and informed them in the morning (a downgrade from what I’d originally booked and still charged at premium rate with a pathetic offer of breakfast, of which a greasy spoon would be considered gourmet.) 

I spent Saturday out of my room, with the sign on the door stating and expecting to come back to a clean room. Four hours later, when I need to get ready for my event, I arrived to find my room in a mess. 

I’m glad I spoke directly to housekeeping who finally got it sorted as reception told me that as I’m a guest staying another night, they clean the room last. The man at reception informed me that they have arriving guests to cater for and I’m not a priority. I should accept this as this was the way it is. For a stay costing over £400, that is unacceptable. 

His patronising attitude was offensive and had me questioning whether it was due to my race as it felt discriminatory. I don’t say this lightly as I sat near reception and watched the interaction with other guests. It was significantly different and positive, yet every encounter I’ve had has been difficult, patronising and rude. 

Moving forward I think staff need customer service training as well as sensitivity training.

Customer Service Nightmare

The receptionist was unwelcoming. We booked three rooms and in one of them the toilet was blocked. It was not fixed and the guest was not moved. Insufficient towels in one room. Hot water was lukewarm in the evening. Not up to premier Inn standards.
