Jackie and Russell were really friendly and welcoming and the room was lovely. Very comfortable bed and very nice to have the ensuite!Myrtle Cottage is in the heart of Bishopston and literally next door to a couple of pubs so great options for food and a beer! Easy driving to all the best parts of the beautiful Gower from this location. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Hosts were excellent and helpful, check in easy, parking good. Room was well appointed and enough space. Short walk to two pubs which served meals. No outside area to sit. Central to Gower peninsula attractions.Highly recommend for short stays

The hosts Jackie and Russell were adorable,and nothing was too much to ask.The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable, tea and coffee and a kettle in the room.There's two pubs very close by the property,good for food and drinks and socialising. A bus can take you straight into Swansea in about 45 minutes,and it not too far from the beach.We Hope to come again when the weather is warmer.Beautiful country cottage, thank you Jackie and Russell for having us stay at your home.

Lovely stay in Bishopston. Comfortable, very clean, welcoming and well situated for exploring the Gower Peninsula. The hosts were very friendly,  helpful and hard working offering good advice on where to eat and visit in the area. They also very kindly supplied me with fresh milk twice a day for tea and even recommended a local garage to take my car to who looked at it free of charge. A really nice trip to the Gower

Jackie is a wonderful host. Friendly helpful and warm. The room was very pleasant and clean. Tea and coffee making available. A mini fridge would be useful to keep water and milk cool. Bishopston is a great base for a solo traveller. A Co op is nearby and the local pub is a few doors down for food and drinks. I found people to be friendly and helpful. The pub is just a few doors away and closes at 11pm. I stayed during a hot spell of sunny weather which meant the outside was busy. But it quietened down soon enough after closing. This may be a consideration for those who like an early night and are light sleepers. Overall I was very happy with my stay.

The accommodation exceeded expectations. We liked its location next to a very friendly pub and not having to use the car, being able to walk to the coastal footpaths. We also appreciated Jackie's care and attention to detail; everything we needed - and more - was provided. We've stayed on the Gower many times and this was one of the best!

Great stay, fantastic location for walking the coastal path! Didn’t need to drive again after we arrived. Lovely pubs nearby that serve tasty food fast.Super friendly hosts and comfy, clean room. Super breakfast, we were full leaving each morning to explore the area - walking to the mumbles and three cliffs bay.Would definitely recommend.

Super stay!

I had a fabulous three nights at Myrtle Cottage B&B. It was very clean and comfortable. Jackie and Russell were lovely, and made me feel welcome. There are two pubs serving food right next door, and I could easily walk to a beach. The breakfast was perfect every day. I would love to go back, and would highly recommend.

I stayed at Myrtle Cottage overnight before a half marathon in Gower the following morning. After a rather long drive from Bristol I was in need of a friendly face and hospitality and I was in good hands with Jackie. She made me feel very welcome and looked after, and made me a cooked breakfast early in the morning, which set me up perfectly for the day. The room was wonderful, warm and cosy, very clean, with a great en-suite bathroom. The local pub on the corner was brilliant (thanks to Jackie for the tips on where to go), serving excellent food, and afterwards I logged on to the B&B wifi to soak up some pre-race netflix.I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a welcoming and cosy place to stay. :) Thank you Jackie

We had a lovely stay at Myrtle Cottage. Jackie and Russell were warm and welcoming and communicated with us before our trip asking us our arrival time and advising us of the continental breakfast provided. The room was spotless and tea/coffee facilities were provided and a cold bottle of water left outside our room on our return at night. The breakfast next day was made special by the provision of homemade jams made by Jackie. We had toast/ croissants/pain au chocolate: cereal/fruit and Jackie offered to cook us fresh scrambled egg on toast with tomato! She even put out some homemade walnut cake. The only downside was the parking accessibility. It is down an unmade road and there is only room for one car in the drive and limited parking outside with large stones to navigate! Otherwise a wonderful stay and a jacuzzi bath to boot! Fabulous! We would recommend without hesitation! Lovely, lovely couple!
