a wonderful time in Swansea.!!!
great location, close to the center, beautiful view of the sea and the beach. near a lot of restaurants where you can eat good food.
room very clean
Comfortable bed, soft pillows, comfortable mattress. I slept like a baby. very good. very well.
the service was perfect, very nice friendly and helpful.
I spent five days there with my family. I can not wait for my another trip to Swansea.
by far it is the best guest house in Swansea.
I recommend it to everyone

Amazing time in swansea

Firstly, the property has changed its name - it's Swansea Bay Hotel now.
Pros: Good location, close to city centre and bus station. Right outside the beach. Staff were kind and helpful. It's very basic, but you get what you pay for. The sink in the room and the tv were a nice touch. No bedbugs, and I was able to have a decent sleep. The tea, coffee and kettle were a nice addition. Great view of the sea. Feels like student accommodation, if you're okay with this then you'll be fine.

Cons: Although they smelled clean, the bedsheets were stained. Paper-thin walls, you can hear everything from the room next to you. I think there were blood stains on the night table. Some of the occupants seemed sketchy. The bed was basically springs covered by some cloth, and even the slightest movement makes squeaky noises. Additionally, the rooms smelled a bit strange. It's an aged property with squeaky floors and stairs. The kettle and mug in the room were unwashed so I didn't touch them. Finally, check in closes at around 9pm so if you arrive later than that (even if the say during booking it will be fine) there will be no-one present to give you the keys to your room - a few visitors who arrived late had to stay elsewhere for the night.

Okay if you want somewhere cheap to stay

This disgusting, grotty place needs to be shut down!! Immediate inspection is required. We booked 2 family rooms as we came down to visit family and this place was a 5 minute walk away from their house. We only required a bed to kip on for the night and even that was too much of a ask for this B&B (not a hotel)
As soon as you walk in a foul rotting pub stench will hit your face so embrace yourselves! We made the booking via booking.com, the mature male receptionist didn’t ask to see any I.D or a payment card he just handed us 2 sets of keys. Cheap metal/wooden flimsy beds! Tiny tv which is probably smaller than a desktop screen and a bathroom you’d probably catch a disease in! There was a crack on the ceiling and only God knows what was leaking from there...because the room above was the second family room we booked so it was definitely not rain water!! There were stains, hairsss and holesss (cigarette burns) on the bedsheets. The second family room on the floor above...as soon as we opened the door there was a horrible mouldy smell, it was as though a mouse had died a few months ago and they still haven’t located it’s carcass!!! If you thought the first room was bad then this room was far beyond repulsive. For such a smelly room why were the windows closed??? Why is something not in place to tackle this reek? The bathroom was dark, dingy and mouldy and blueeee???!!! We paid £180 for two pigpens!! We went down to reception to complain about the stink and he clearly decided to play stupid! He told us the smell is coming from outside...hence why the windows were closed and he provided us with cheap air freshener..To clarify the air in Swansea is very clean and there was no such smell around!
We asked for another room and obviously there wasn’t another...We ended up booking another hotel!and obviously there wasn’t another...We ended up booking another hotel!

Hairs and holes

The rooms smelled extremely damp and when we told reception they gave us air freshener and tried to say there is nothing wrong and completely denied knowing anything i’m sure customers have complained before and said maybe its from outside the smell has clearly been there for some time now,it wasn’t from outside at all as we left the windows open however it was terrible,the beds uncomfortable with very thin pillows,no hot water in bathroom,crack in ceiling which dropped on my face at night could not sleep a wink due to it leaking throughout the night and wet some of my things,floor boards creaked and can hear people talking from other rooms. we didn’t have a choice so had to stay but never again. didn’t expect much but this stay was the worst i’ve ever experienced especially with a young family felt sad to make them stay there,absolute waste of money.

Terrible,avoid at all costs

this hotel hasnt been renovated since who knows when. was on an upper floor, but we could hear the noise from outside the hotel from a crowd of people. management didnt even bother to go and tell them to leave the property, because they cant hear them. no cleaners. although there are door signs of no smoking, the whole hotel smelt of smoke from cigarettes and packy. staff smoke and honey boo boo. even their guests are allowed to smoke it. music on full blast. management did nothing about it. filthy place. old man i think is manager, wont even smile. feel bed springs

Dirty, Noisy,

Worst hotel ever, please, please do not go there! I  booked through Booking.com costing £256, we could not stay at this so called hotel because it was so disgusting.
What is worse is Booking.com still have this ‘hotel” on their website. We have been offered by Booking.com £38 as recompense! The hotel owner has refused any refund! I believe Swansea prison close by to the “Hotel” would have provided better accommodation.Please whatever you do, don’t book this “hotel” or use Booking.com, they will not help, the whole situation as been a nightmare. We booked for 5th to 8th September 2018 and are still fighting for a refund... I’m not holding out much hope...

Disgusting the decor and bedding was terrible worst night sleep ever on a lumpy bed people outside hotel doors spilling beer some came under our door would recommend this too no one AVOID!!! The Noise from other room was a mick take not couple friendly at all

Avoid at all costs. Place should be shut down. Room was filthy dirty. Bedding was full of tab ash and burn. Bin in room still had rotting old food in.Staff were terrible they did not want to know once they had our money and would not refund us. Worst place ever.
