Nice, quaint property close to Rhossili Bay and perfect for our 2 night stay.  Shower was nice and hot!  Dafydd was great and nice for him to share some of his stories with us!

We had a lovely stay. Accommodation, village setting and host were perfect. Thankyou Dafydd for a lovely stay.  We fell in love with the gower so hopefully will be back.

Great place.  Well decorated, very comfortable and excellent location for exploring Gower. Dafydd our host was excellent and breakfast was delicious.Great place. Highly recommended.

Had a very good short stay in a large room (Grug) with comfortable bed, sofa and rain shower.
Wifi was a bit patchy.
On site parking is helpful.
Good location for walks in all directions.
Great hosts and breakfast (including veg and vegan options).

Booked a weekend break and what a lovely stay,! Fantastic rooms anf facilities, a local pub with great food, It’s a brilliant location if you want to get away from it all. The breakfast was great and the host, Dafydd, was even better! Will definitely be back!

Great late one night stay - our room was warm, comfortable, fantastic shower with a great breakfast the next morning. Located within a nice walking distance from the beach and just around the corner from a pub where we ate dinner. Very nice stay.

Tastefully decorated. Large shower area and very hot water.Good location for walkers. Very friendly staff.

Perfect base for two night pet friendly break. Short drive to the beach & only few min walk to the local pub (very dog friendly). Our room was very spacious, nice comfy bed, large sofa, thoughtful touches such as the waffle dressing gowns were appreciated. Tea, coffee & biscuits with daily top ups if required. One of Dafydd’s hearty breakfast’s will set you up for the day. Would certainly recommend & look forward to a return visit soon.

Tara’s mini break 🐾

Delightful visit. The property is lovely, perfectly located in Llangennith and only 5 mins walk to the pub for food, or a longer walk over the hill to Llanmadoc. Great bed, beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was superb, with Dafydd (owner) pulling out all the stops for my vegan wife. Would love to return soon.

Perfect stay, excellent breakfast

A lovely property in the village, walkable distance to the beach, along a small road giving great views into the open countryside. Hearty breakfast(s) are made to order, by the friendly hosts in the morning, (after putting order in via text the evening before) & we visited the local pub for our evening meals. Definitely a returning venue.

My daughter and I had a lovely couple of nights at Blas Gwyr. They are very friendly with delicious breakfasts ( mine being homemade vegetarian sausages).
The room was very tasteful and the shower room was beautiful. Lovely village with a reasonable pub for food. Wild ponies wandering around so drive slowly.

Lovely stay

Stayed for a week in september. Great welcome from Daffyd, he could not have done enough. Super knowledgeable on local and welsh history. Great breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for him! Gorgeous cosy room. Great base to explore Gower.You need a car to stay here, there is only 1 pub. 
By far best pace I ate was Britannia inn, tried many places and nothing came close. 
Visited 9 castles and eveyr beach, Rhossili, pembrey,port eynon, and lots more.
Had a great solo trip, the welsh are such nice folk!

Lovely stay Everything was perfect!

What more can I say other than this was such a beautiful place to stay! My first child free weekend ever and I was blown away! Dafydd is very welcoming! Easy to get hold of especially when it comes to booking and having everything ready when your there.  

On arrival there is a book in the rooms that are filled with so much information about what’s around the area, the history, the restaurants with phone numbers, free wifi making it even easier to find places around! 

Beautiful room with a comfortable bed! Beautiful shower room! Love the fact it feels private, the courtyard in the middle is such a lovely little touch to the stay! Breakfast in the mornings absolutely lovely! And might’ve only stayed 2 nights! But me and my partner got to see so much and so many beautiful places! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Definitely Hope to be back again! Definitely a Perfect stay for a first ever child free weekend! 

With Covid about I can feel quite nervous! But with everything set up here that definitely wasn’t an issue! Quiet with how it’s set up, masks to be worn outside rooms, separate morning times/ socially distanced for breakfast. Hand sanitisers, Perfect. 

Just an added! It is better to try and book the restaurants before arriving but the local food places really do make the effort to get you a space in there! We had absolutely  no problems at all especially considering we didn’t book! Beautiful place!

Beautiful stay

We had three nights here on a walking trip around the Gower. Although we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, it was really comfortable and well equipped. Great walk in shower in our room. Dafydd and his colleagues were warm and friendly, and make a good cooked breakfast, and packed lunches. 

Llangennith is a great place to base yourself for walking around the Gower's north coast. The only downside is without a car, you are limited to places for dinner. One large pub in the village which does decent pub grub standards... recommend booking ahead.

A warm welcome here

Me and my partner booked this trip on a Sunday evening and arrived on the Wednesday. 

The communication between Dafydd and ourselves right from the moment we booked was fantastic, he was kind enough to send us a long email with specific directions, his contact information, and attachments with local eateries and attractions so we could browse and book in advance should we want to, and an ease of mind to contact him should we have any queries or questions about anything. 

Upon our arrival, he greeted us immediately, made us feel extremely welcome, advised us about breakfast arrangements and left us to it. He wasn’t hanging over our shoulders as some hotel owners do which is always awkward. The room itself was utterly superb. Very spacious with lots of natural light, large sofa (very comfortable I may add) very large, very comfy bed with snowy white bedding and towels. 
There was a walk-in wardrobe with lots of space for clothes and cases. 
The bathroom/wet room was absolutely stunning, all stone and very modern and very clean. 

Dafydd’s recommendations for food and trips out were spot on. Very knowledgeable gentleman about his home village he clearly adores and is very proud of. Quite rightly so. 

The breakfast.. fabulous option choices, suitable for vegans, vegetarians, pack ups for early starters, or a big hearty traditional which me and my partner took great pleasure in. Very locally sourced produce and fantastic quality. Wonderful coffee (most important to the Mr). 
The breakfast times for guests were scattered due to the pandemic which made us feel at ease, we knew they were still taking it seriously, thus in turn gave me peace of mind knowing the rooms were going to be extremely well cleaned. They were. 

During breakfast, Dafydd cooked and served us personally which we appreciated as we could get to know him and how he came upon his wonderful establishment and learn some history of the village. 

He and his wife were kind enough to lend us an iron and an ironing board one evening ready for a visit to one of the local pubs, The Britannia, and told us not to take it back to him, he will sort it when we leave. 
Absolutely nothing was too much trouble throughout the entire stay. 

The fact that the Blas Gwyr is on the doorstop to one of the most beautiful natural destinations in the world just made it all the more charming. The views were absolutely breathtaking. (Quite literally, that was one hell of a climb) but my goodness, I’ve never seen anything like it. Please see photo attached. Better yet, go and see it for yourself and stay at Blas Gwyr!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We WILL be returning in the near future. The accommodation was nothing short of exquisite and we would like to thank Dafydd and his wife for the opportunity to stay. I’m just sorry we only booked two nights.

Exquisite.

Nicely furnished accommodation with free onsite parking.  Within walking distance of pub and beach (as long as you are happy to climb back to your room!).  Very Covid-aware which is reassuring and the rooms are well ventilated and spotlessly clean. Knowledgeable host and enjoyable breakfast.  We were staying as a family group so had booked all of the rooms which was a lovely way to start family wedding celebrations. Would be happy to return - thank you!

We had a fantastic stay at Blas Gwyr. It’s a lovely B&B in a beautiful location. Dafydd was a great host who made us feel very welcome and had brilliant knowledge about the local area with stories, history and tips on where to go. 

Our room has everything we wanted with a very comfortable bed in a good sized room, excellent shower in the en-suite. 

We enjoyed the breakfast each morning- varying between the Welsh Breakfast and the lighter breakfast with cereal, croissants and Welsh cakes!
