Not a large place to stay, but big car park .Has old world charm on the outside, and very peaceful, you are treated well as a guest ...you matter to them, which is important .Room was adequate for our needs and the food and drinks were good..

Great location with a lovely, cosy room offering a fantastic shower and excellent heating in the bathroom. Plenty of space for clothes adds convenience. The staff are friendly and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant stay. I'd definitely recommend it.

Location is great, the staff were really friendly and helpful., big shoutout to all of them. We were in Room 6 which is a nice big room, big comfy bed too. Dinner was nice and the chef accommodated our requests for our dishes. We'll definitely return the next time.

We had a lovely 1 night stay at the Ragged Cot. The staff were friendly and professional, nice room with toasty heating, very comfortable bed and a fantastic waterfall shower. We reserved a table for dinner which we both thoroughly enjoyed, they've got a great Chef in the kitchen. The convenience of strolling to the comfort of our room after a satisfying meal was genuine bliss. To top it off the included breakfast was delicious too. We were expecting something fairly basic but got a hearty full English and eggs Benedict which kept us going for most of the day!

Lovely stay

One night romantic stay Issue with room provided at check in but quickly resolved and upgraded to a lager room The room was clean and comfortable with a good shower Fantastic evening meal with great musical entertainment within the restaurant Breakfast could run a lot smoother if they had fresh brewed coffee on the buffet  table and not a single coffee machine , and a better toaster I really enjoyed the cooked full English breakfast Great overall service from the staff I would definitely return if in the area again

The hotel is a busy pub with the accommodation down a corridor to the back of the hotel. The room was very small, especially the bathroom and although fairly clean had a cigarette/musty smell.Breakfast was good and staff friendly.We were in the area for a wedding so just needed a place to stay near Minchinhampton, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

An ok stay

We have lodged at numerous hotels in the area. The Ragged Cot beats them all…Excellent staff, excellent location, excellent food.(especially the free breakfast).Excellent value.Nice warm room. Safe free parking. Good free WiFi.The restaurant menu is excellent. However, I would recommend that the management consider adding a “lighter bites” menu…The portions on the main menu are large!  Well done to all the staff.

Nothing Ragged about this place.!

Wonderful night staying here, very comfortable bed and great en suite. Breakfast delicious and filling. Had dinner there too, lovely. Stuffed with 2 great meals our relations we had come to visit treated us to lunch at Ragged Cot after we’d said how lovely it was (they are local but hadn’t been since a bad experience 20 years ago!). We all enjoyed it so much but think I must have put on 1/2 stone in 2 days! We will return soon.

Wonderful

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good spacious dining room with large log fire. Menu was either pub grub or a more upmarket choice too.Only issue I would mention if that the shelving in the shower room wasn't adequate for toiletries and your room isn't made up unless you hang a sign on your door handle but you are warned of thatWe would stay again. Good value for money

Great place to stay lovely restaurant lovely cosy room great bathroom with amazing shower lovely and warm . Just one small problem the large fridge outside makes a noise all night not good if your a light sleeper and your room is above the restaurant. But lovely friendly staff would definitely return.

Excellent place to eat and rest up - lovely ambiance in the wood fired bar - great selection of beer/drinks, lovely restaurant with excellent food to. Very comfortable room and also wanted to say how excellent and attentive the staff were - 10/10. Will def recommend and no hesitation in staying again

Great place to stay

Fantastic hidden gem in a superb location. Beautiful building and wonderfully decorated. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, even the little extras in the bathrooms. Breakfast was fantastic with great locally sourced products, plenty of it, and presented really well. All staff are super friendly and warm and welcoming. Our only negative was the sound of the heating or refrigerator out the back of the room, which sounded like a car running all night long. We would definitely return and recommend you to others. Thank you for a lovely 2 night stay 

Hidden gem

It was all great, the room we were in due minor spruce up soon and the tea coffee draw empty, the staff were friendly so it would have resolved quickly had I wanted to ask.great value and very tasty generous breakfast. We didn't use facilities in the evening because of party in a different venue we attended. Did have a quick drink tho, good price and decent real ale.
