Bumble Cottage B&B

We just returned from a great weekend at Bumble Cottage. It’s a lovely old cottage with an wonderful garden and super friendly host.  If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay in the countryside it’s perfect! 

We love this place, our 4th visit. It is a beautiful 16 th century thatched cottage. Lovely setting and surrounded by pretty established garden and grounds. Walking distance of the local village. Our bedroom had such great character with old beams and slanting floor boards and lovely garden views. Our en-suite was located next door, large and clean though there was only a bath with attached shower head. There is a downstairs shower room but not sure if available for the main bedroom.
The ample cooked  breakfast is very good.
The host was aware of social distancing and adequate precautions were upheld. 
Enjoyable stay and hope to repeat our visit in the future.

We stayed at Bumble overnight prior to attending an Event in the area.
What a character property this is dating back to 16th century.
There are apparently two bedrooms for Accomodation however due to the  covid situation,  currently only one is bookable.  Sensible  👍
Hand sanitiser readily available 👍
Our room was on the first floor adjacent to our bathroom.  
The sloping floors of the Listed property are a great experience however watch out for the low beams!
Continental Breakfast served.

Walking distance to two pubs.

stayed for 2 nights back in august.Stayed in large room on 1st floor
very large room with good bathroom.Unfortunately no shower cubicle.
Breakfast still as good as ever.Suzie,the owner,is very nice and can't
do enough to help.

We had a very cosy stay in Bumble Cottage.It was a unique experience being in a room that was downward sloping due to subsidence over the years.The TV was sloping too but it was a bit of fun.We enjoyed looking around the garden and seeing the lovely ponies in the paddock.Very nice and quiet there. If you like clocks then this is the place for you.There are a couple of nice pubs nearby and even a leisure centre with swimming pool etc.
The breakfast was delicious and the lady running the place was very helpful and friendly.Nice view of the fields outside the window.
Would definitely go back again.

Thatched property on the edge of farmland. Large garden and paddock with ponies.
Our private bathroom was down a flight of stairs and our bedroom floor felt as if it sloped but what can you expect from a centuries old property. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided in thee room. The hostess was very friendly with a fantastic Suffolk accent. The breakfast was great. The village has 2 great pubs for meals.

Owner is very accommodating.room very olde world with beams and wonky floors.
Good shower room,plenty of highwater.unfortunately it is downstairs.
Very good extensive breakfast for the price

The lady who owns it is lovely and very welcoming.  The breakfast was extensive and she catered for gluten, soya and dairy free diet no problem. 
We were able t come and go as we needed and the room was very quiet. 
It was carefully put together with in keeping decoration and some nice attention to detail.  Such as fresh milk in the fridge.
If I was to be picky, the bed would benefit from a mattress topper as I could feel springs, the coffee in the room would benefit from being straight up coffee as there is milk provided, it would be useful to also have access to dressing gowns in case you miss read that the shower is downstairs!  
This was a lovely place to stay.

my husband & I had a lovely 4 day break at Bumble Cottage. A beautiful thatched cottage set in lovely grounds. Very old with low beams (ouch) bedroom large room with adjacent spacious bathroom. Very peaceful and comfortable, good breakfast, friendly host. Would definitely return

We stayed for one night at bumble cottage. Lovely location to get away for a night. We stayed in the budget double room. The private bathroom is downstairs so did have to walk upstairs in my towel, luckily didn't bump into the other couple that were staying. There was a fridge in the room with fresh milk in but this did make a noise all through the night. I don't see the point of it being there. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. Full English and fruit and cereal. Good pub up the road 'the Ivy lodge' make sure you get there before 8pm though. We went to framlingnham the next day from the hostess' advice and really enjoyed visiting the castle. With the price we paid we were happy with our stay. I would say get rid of the fridge though.
