The 4 of us stayed in all the 3 rooms available for 3 nights B & B.
Pippin has been a wonderful host to us and I must say it was a wonderful stay with Breakfast on order of our choices and she was very accommodating. 
However, if you drive a very big car, the front porch carpark can be challenging if you are not good in parking. Of course there are enough space for 3 cars head in. But if car is smaller, no problems at all.
Our stay was very comfortable as Pippin provides us with enough comforts and she's very generous with her supply of Varieties of good Teas & Coffees & very nice Biscuits and shortbreads to go with.
It's thanks to her and her guidance and expert directions of very nice places of interest.
Thank you for a very good stay. We hope to go back to her again if we do visit.

Holidaying in Devon

(The guesthouse is now up for sale and the owner is concentrating on her food business in Sidmouth. This unfortunately shows-up in places...).
OK, the negatives first - dust, cobwebs and worn-out chairs are the order of the day in the room and the shower room needs a darned good clean. The shrivelled old fruit in the breakfast room should have gone a good week ago and there was bird muck all over the garden furniture. 
Now for the positives - The room is just lovely in a creaky old kind of way and the bed is by far the comfiest we have ever slept in.
The garden is lovely and leafy with lots of places to sit and enjoy a drink with fine views out over the village.
The breakfast is just great, with plenty of good quality hot and cold food that will sort you out for a long day ahead. The cooked breakfast is really excellent indeed.
So in summary, this place is like the pair of threadbare old slippers that you can't bare to throw away because they are so comfy. 
We would definitely go again and are interested to see what the new owners make of it.

Great place and I'll miss this place if the owner sell it...we always stay here when we're down here in Sidmouth to visit Donkey's Sanctuary which is less than ten minutes drive...I can't ask for more xxx

I'll miss this place...

I stayed in Rose Cottage for two nights while attending the annual Grizzly 20 mile run in Seaton (awesome event by the way). It was clean, the breakfast was fantastic and the lady who runs it is wonderfully helpful. I have paid more than twice the price to stay in chain hotels that are half as nice. I paid £40 a night, it wasn’t peak season (so may be more expensive at other times) but even so you’ll struggle to find a more reasonable price than that. There was even gingerbread men in the room which was a nice touch. I think the chap complaining about the wifi is being a little picky, it is situated near one of the most beautiful coastlines in the country, who needs wifi?!

Excellent B&B

Lovely comfortable room . Nice location . Breakfast awseome . Just enjoyed a quiet 2 night stay for a last minute getaway with my wife .Despite the weather thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This cottage and setting are absolutely perfect if your looking for a quiet and chilled rest, Highly recommend  the Swan inn in Sidmouth for a great freshly cooked evening meal .
