We stayed in Room 8 for four nights and had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was made to order by the chef and was absolutely delicious. The dinners were magnificent – and the Sunday roast was one of the best we've ever had! Everything was made from scratch, with perfectly cooked vegetables and a choice of pork, beef, lamb, or chicken (or even a mix of meats!).Even though it was Mother’s Day and fully booked, the quality and portions were just as high – no drop in standards at all. Highly recommended!

Easy to find and good parking.   Comfy rooms attached to busy pub.   All in all a good find that i would definitely stay at again when travelling in the area.

Was ideal for us it was comfortable . Shower was warm . WiFi was good and the people were great . Breakfast was great . . Stayed at most places in the area and this place is a diamond ! They should charge at least another 15 pounds per night

Great accommodation, excellent food and most importantly a good range of very well kept beers.

We received a very warm welcome, all staff were very friendly. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Natterjack is such a lovely place. Everything was exceptional. As a solo traveller it was particularly comforting to be looked after by such lovely staff. The food was excellent and I had a good nights sleep. I would highly recommend this wonderful Inn

Fantastic stay

The is a lovely little in, ideal for a short stop-over. The staff in the pub were extremely welcoming, it has a great atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. The only down side is, the room I stayed in is next to a commercial site which has bright spotlights, this means that even with the curtains closed the room wasn't overly dark. Also the bed wasn't that comfortable, so I didn't sleep very well. Overall a pleasant stay, and possibly somewhere I would consider for a future stay.

Room was comfortable and had a walk in shower room with good shower. The staff were very willing to accommodate vegan options on their meal choices and there was one vegan option on the specials board (please not risotto - why is risotto the goto vegan meal for every hotel - why not get some frozen beyond beef burgers and give a vegan burger option for instance)

We stayed at this property as we were visiting shepton mallet prison. Check in was great, staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Room was perfect just what we needed after a ghost hunt. Breakfast was the best we've ever had. Next visit to the prison we will definitely be returning to the natterjack inn

Honestly I have only amazing things to say about the natterjack. Amazing grounds and room, and the food was just amazing. Pub and restaurant, lovely. Besides all that, the staff and owner were just the best people. The owner, Adrian helped us get a ride on more than one occasion and offered us a ride himself lol. We would have been lost without his kindness. 10000/10 stars, highly recommend to a friend. Arrived at hotel on Monday night and it was all locked up. It closes on a Monday night, so there’s no bar or food service.A phone number is on the door though, so I called the owner named Adrian who guided me as to how to get into a room that was reserved for me. He was also kind enough to advise of some nice places to eat nearby.The only room he had available was a twin room with very narrow single beds. If your any taller than say 5ft 11 inches the bed is also quite short and feet are against bottom of bedstead. Not sure what other rooms are like, so cannot say all rooms are like this.Lovely breakfast in the morning freshly cooked and made to feel welcome.Pity restaurant was closed when I arrived. It came highly recommended which is why I booked this hotel. Would I return?? Absolutely. Just not on a Monday night.

Welcoming hotel.

When we first checked in, the standard room was too small, but we were moved to the deluxe room no. 9, which was great. Parking is easy and seconds away from accommodations. We chose Natterjack because recently we had the most amazing Sunday roast there with our son, partner, and dog, Ike. We weren't surprised that the food was amazing. What an amazing kitchen team! A great added touch was a slate plate iced with happy anniversary and two handmade brownies. We will book it again next time we are visiting our son, puppy, and partner in Shepton Mallet for a few days.

Wonderful food and accommodation

Really welcoming pub with fine food. The home made pies are packed with high quality meats, the fish cooked exactly right. Everything tastes fresh with tasty vegetables. The staff are just so friendly - from behind the bar to waiting staff at the table. We went two nights in a row and it was the same both nights. It seems to get quite busy on Friday night so book ahead if that's when you're going and planning to eat.
Looks quite an ordinary pub from the road ...but inside it's just a lovely experience!

It's a lovely experience

We popped in to the Natterjack today for lunch and it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was fantastic. My son tried the venison burger special and is a convert.  If you have space for a pud the brownie is a cracker. The portions were generous and prices are reasonable. The Bath Ales Gem was really well kept. We will definitely be returning soon.

A super lunch

We stayed at the Natterjack Inn for a wedding in the local area. The owners were so welcoming and friendly, they were very accommodating and were able to sort an early check-in for us. Excellent communication in advance of our stay. Room was comfortable and clean with everything we could need. Loved the pub next door and the breakfast was great.Would highly recommend and would stay again.
