The Crown Hotel

Did the Three Peaks on the 26th July and stopped here on the 26th and 27th. Upon turning up The Landlord Freddy was very friendly polite and Courteous to us. He couldn’t do enough to help us. We had Tea that evening and both had Lasagne, Salad and chips… the portions were massive and my wif struggled to eat hers… we then retired to bed before doing the Three peaks the following day and due to an early start, we were given a breakfast pot that was a nice touch … the beds were exceptionally comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. We started at 6:30 next morning and due to weather we finished and got back to the pub about 8:30 that evening… they normally stop serving food @ about 8:00, however Freddy and Sandra watched out for us and made an exception going out of their way to assist and feeding us… this food was also very nice.. We yet again had an early night to get up for a nice hot bath (water red hot) which was very welcoming after 24 1/2 miles We then had our continental breakfast this morning (Friday ) which was more than adequate … prior to leaving. All in all a wonderful experience with excellent and thoughtful hosts at a reasonable price I would certainly recommend this Hotel to anyone and return back again. Thank you Freddy and Sandra
