Turnberry Road Suites

I stayed for 4 nights in August for a business trip. Elaine is fun, funny and wonderful, and it is SO clear that she's put a lot of thought into the details of what makes a seamless, comfortable and easy stay. One of my first questions to Elaine was where I could find a good espresso in town and she happily turned to point to the espresso maker in the kitchen. Joy! Lots of sweet surprises throughout: refrigerator stocked with yummy quality food (and prosecco!)...dishes, cookware, even olive oil, salt & pepper all provided...hair dryer, lint roller, flashlight and other useful items also in the room. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Everything was clean and comfortable. The property is perfectly situated in a central location. Access to a park and the beach is just across the street. Very easy walking distance to nearby restaurants and a tiny convenience store across the street. On Wednesdays the Flaming Indulgence gourmet wood-fired pizza oven truck from Maybole comes into town and parks half a block away. (I ordered a pizza w goat cheese, fig jam, rocket, and added on proscuitto. So delish!) What a treat! Perfect timing as it was rainy that evening. I must say, the great food options in town and via this food truck were such a nice surprise! Coming from Los Angeles, that says a lot. Having the quality breakfast items prestocked in the refrigerator made mornings a breeze for me and it was fun to sample the Scottish style meats.
