Arrived in the afternoon 9/4/24 and discovered that the room booked for my 95yr old mum and I (an unfit 68yr old female) was on the 2nd floor and no lift!  The lady on reception managed to juggle rooms and then went off to make up the bed settee in a room on the ground floor.
She was so helpful and friendly even though we had caused her extra work.
The room itself was to the usual standard of cleanliness we have come to expect of a Premier inn but there was a ceiling bulb out and a desk lamp not working (room 8).  The only other down side was the height of the bed, this 5’ 5” person found it very hard work getting into bed ☺️

Stayed for just one night 
We had a long wait to check in but once in our premier plus room we were pleased with the basic but clean and comfortable  accommodation 
Apart from there only being one teabag !
Bizarre!
There were coffee pods that we didn’t use as they were not identifiable (we wanted decaf) and we had to go back to reception to get more tea and coffee sachets 
The bed was comfortable and we were generally happy with the hotel apart from the meals at the pub next door 
We had prepaid for a meal deal but found the service to be painfully slow 
We didn’t even have our drinks until we had sat at our table for 40minutes
Food arrived after an hour and was generally okay but breakfast was horrible 
No orange juice - just tropical fruit squash which tasted of artificial sweeteners 
Cereals were poor quality  
Tea was made with flask water so not hot enough 
I could go on but suffice to say if I ever stayed here again I would not eat onsite

Hotel okay but eat elsewhere

This Premier Inn was really good. I loved the Premier Plus room with all the little extras. It was a well thought out room, plug sockets and mirrors situated well for getting ready. Green and Black chocolates were a nice touch :) All the staff were lovely. I checked in with my grandchildren and the receptionist gave them Easter packs even though they weren't staying with me. The location was great for me as convenient for visiting family but it really isn't that far from city centre and the local taxis aren't too expensive. I really enjoyed my stay here.

A great stay

I was put in room 1, directly opposite the door from reception. People coming and going all day and night, talking right outside my door etc. The few rooms this near reception should not be accommodation rooms as a peaceful time, even by hotel standards, is impossible to achieve. The heating system is archaic and takes a while to work out with the wall thermostat and electric radiator thermostat. Food etc. OK but this one night stay was not worth the money considering it cost a similar amount to other accommodation available locally.

Worst night's sleep ever

Premier Inn very rarely disappoint. This visit although very brief met all our expectations except for the Table Table dinner which did not touch the sides! We are not big eaters either! We did not book - restaurant very quiet. Wish we had researched other options available. Apparently pub with good food some 3/4 miles away. We were not hanging around on this occasion so purchased breakfast from the garage down the road.

You know what to expect when you stay with premier so was not disappointed 

Staff friendly and helpful 

The restaurant was good as the food was hot and tasty especially as there were not many staff waiting on tables. But they did an excellent job displaying good customer service as one women felt the need to moan about everything and was extremely rude to the staff who were very polite

Unfortunately I was given room 1 which was located just beyond reception. 
There was a lot of  traffic through this door during the night and in to the morning, with a constant opening, closing and banging of the door from the reception area generating a lot of noise aggravated further by other guests talking whilst passing room 1.
Sleep deprivation is the best description of my experience at this premier inn. 
I spoke to the hotel staff in the morning about this who said room 1 is a known problem to the premier and they regular complaints about it. I was also told it’s not covered by the good night sleep guarantee……..

Worst nights sleep ever …….

The toilet was absolutely disgusting when we first arrived!
Although the restraunt is separate the food and service was disgraceful. They hardly had anything on the menu, waited 30 minutes for our starters to even be ordered. Forgot half of our order!

Filthy bathroom!

Stopped here on the way back from Cornwall to Kent in order to break the journey. Checked in to our Permier Plus room and walking up the stairs it was obvious this hotel wasn’t up to standard as the stairs looked like they hadn’t seen a cleaner for months. In the room the unit that houses the clothes hangers was thick with dust looking like it had never been cleaned since it was installed.  On check in there were signs everywhere that said there was limited tables in the restaurant due to staffing shortages. We booked one of what we were told were 14 tables available for dinner. When checking in for dinner it looked like the restaurant and bar was about to move out. There were vases in the restaurant area as part of the decoration that were covered in dust with huge cobwebs around them.  With little other options to eat locally and after a five hour drive we decided to stick with it. Service in the restaurant was good.  I went to the gents during the meal and the toilets had no cubicle available as it was out of order and the hand drier was not working with no hand towels available. The air con in the room didn’t work and this is months after others have complained about the air con not working. I would avoid this hotel in future and as a couple that have used Premier Inns and Premier Plus rooms this year at over 15 nights to tour the country, next year we will chose a different hotel group as Premier inns seem to have lost the sparkle we once knew.

Avoid this hotel if you want to eat on site.

I had driven 4 and a half hours from Manchester to Salisbury to see my fiancé who is working away for a while… my car had broken down and I called premier inn in a panic and was immediately through to Geena on reception who was able to put my mind at ease and advise I was checked in and not to worry. Upon arrival I met with Geena who had explained that she had left a little treat to help me settle in, which was very much needed! Thank you Geena ! 🤍
