Despite having have lived at The Edge for over a year now, unfortunately I have had several run-ins now with one of the concierges; a bald man with glasses called ‘John’ (no surname given when I asked as it was ‘no business’ of mine). For the second time in 24 hours, I have felt a disrespect from ‘John’; with more recently today having forgotten to bring my fob with me, he was reluctant to open the door to let me into my building, after waiting & waiting outside (he saw me) in the cold, John eventually opened the door for me, I have said thank u then proceeding onto calling me a child for having have forgotten my fob. Consequently, I asked for his name and manager’s email so I could make an official complaint. Upon this, John responded with stating how it is no business of mine to know what his surname is and continued to refuse me access to his full name and email of his senior. Unfortunately I am having to make this complaint, despite having no other issues regarding my residency.

I COUPDN’T EVEN SLEEP because I even didn’t believe what happened and how I have been treated by “JOHN”....

Dissatisfaction regarding the concierge “JOHN”

Today came back from a one night stay in apartment 124. Believe me that was enough. I’ve left it cleaner than I found it. Sorry we had to get the owner out of bed to return key. But couldn’t stay a moment longer! No working tv. No toilet paper . Unclean cutlery

Dirty.

Absolutely great service staff goes above and beyond not to mention the  food is very delicious you feel warm welcome.  I had a tuna omelette which I asked the chef to spice it up a bit it was very delicious 😋 thank you!!!!!

I had read some negative reviews before visiting the edge and was starting to panic especially about the checking in process. I didn't need to - these guys helped us out over the phone when we were lost and couldn't have been more helpful. We loved getting the key,, it was an adventure. The room was spacious and clean and had everything that we needed. It was central and getting around from here as a base was really easy. The bed was quite small but clean and comfortable. Please water the plants when you stay here as they looked a little sad. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Manchester. .

Great stay

The meet and greet from the manager/owner; the forced parking facilities; the lack of key cards to access the building and the garage; the shower/water pressure for an apartment of this quality; the state of the shower tray with mosaic tiles lifting; the lack of comfort of the bed; the cleanliness of the linen - it wasn't dirty but did not smell fresh; the sand paper like towels; the noise of people from above and walking past the apartment; the television from the 90's; the general tiredness of the decoration; the rust appearing on the bottom of the radiators; the broken half leaf entrance door which had clearly been forced at some time; the noise of the running stream outside the apartment which wakes you up several times during the night; the owner's refusal to refund parking charges when you decide that parking is not necessary - because it had been organised; requests for invoices to cover the cost of parking charges ignored; 4 star prices on 1 star accommodation - not a great experience and would definitely not use this apartment again.

Luxury in very short supply!

Stayed one night as a couple. At the time the price was competitive against other hotels and apartments. The location is excellent around Deansgate. If you are driving there is an underground secured car park and your allocated a space. You need to call when you arrive a number they give you at booking so they open the car park door for you and they give you your room number. When you reach your door there is a key on a chain to unlock the door. This bit was the only downside as you don't really check in with a person, only by phone. The apartment had a massive shower, a large balcony. Very spacious. The kitchen was modern and had tea and coffee facilities, ironing board also provided. Fully equipped. Could do with a lick of paint in some places but was fine for a weekend stay. Would stay again if competitive price.
