This hotel offers great views, at affordable prices. We paid about £70 for a room with a king size bed, balcony and this amazing view. The staff are friendly, well organised and really helpful. Runswick itself is beautiful, gorgeous cottages tumbling into the sea with a pretty cafe, pub and a stunning sandy beach in a sheltered bay. We walked the pennine way from here to Sandsend, and also Staithes. Walk to Sandsend is beautiful, if you don't mind walking up the 230 steps! NB walk down from hotel to beach is very steep, but you can drive down! Hotel does need redecorating, but views from the windows price and location are hard to beat. Lots of hot water, clean sheets, warm rooms.Bar and restaurant.
