We went in to order some vegan nachos as stated on the website. Just came with guacamole, chips and salads not as stated. We went to bar to ask why they said menu was not the same as online this had not been stated when we ordered this. We then asked if we could get anything on top. They said the pulled pork but it wasn’t gluten free when on the website it says gluten free which is a big issue. 

Menu online wrong

We used to come here regularly as a friend lives in Goring and it was good but then it went downhill so stopped. We noticed on Tripadvisor that it had new management and menu so we all decided to give it a go. On arrival in the car park there was an abandoned car which had been left there for sometime and the best garden was empty which was a surprise for Bank Holiday Saturday and upon entering the pub it was not much better. 
The two servers were both friendly and attentive and we ordered our food , we all had prawn Cocktail which was ok but lacked enough sauce, 3 of us had Hunters Chicken which was okay but again lacked enough sauce, the Gammon Steak was very good. We all decided not to have pudding so ordered the bill and paid.

As we left the pub a customer in the beer garden spoke to us quite abruptly and ended his conversation with a Homophobic comment,  it was not called for and it ruined our evening and we were dining out to mark our friends final chemotherapy session on Tuesday.

Don’t think we will ever be back.

A ruined evening

Such a Lovely pub. A great atmosphere and a beautiful location. Staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. The food was great and delicious. Such a wonderful, relaxing and amazing pub. Will be back! 



Wonderful Pub 🥰

Stayed here for one night with my partner, lovely room and clean throughout. We also had dinner and drinks in the pub which was great! Nice and cosy atmosphere, will definitely be returning, thank you!

Stayed here for the night with some friends a few days ago, the hotel was lovely with such a comfortable bed. We had some food and drinks in the bar area too, a great night was had by all and the staff were so friendly as well. Will definitely come back here!

Girls night away

We had an excellent meal at the Bull last evening whilst visiting the area for a family funeral.  The portions were generous, piping hot and delivered with a smile by our server Sue.  We have no hesitation in recommending this characterful pub.

Very good evening meal

My wife and I went for lunch on 04th Jan as a last Festive treat before going back to work. Menu had plenty of choice, food was well cooked and the service was friendly (liking the new management.) Really good pub food at reasonable prices. It was all delicious. My highlight was the salt and pepper squid, my wife's was the  Sticky Toffee pudding which she said was surprisingly light. We will be back. 

Lovely lunchtime meal, friendly welcome, good food. 

Lovely big room, but carpet was filthy, mould in bathroom, old holes on bathroom walls not filled, soap in containers left on side of sink (which eventually managed to open), hooks missing on curtain rails.
Wouldn’t need much to tidy things up, carpet was inexcusable though, just so dirty.

We go to the Bull regularly, the staff are friendly and welcoming, lovely big garden to use in the summer and warm cosy fire for the chillier days. They offer a good selection of drinks, good pub food & a great Sunday roast, lovely place to spend a afternoon or evening with family &  friends after a nice walk by the river.   Dog friendly too.
