The owners were both friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was enjoyed by my dad and sister. There was however what looked like cat faeces in the corner of the attic room. There was also a lot of dust and cobwebs around. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were all dins and there was a good amount of space. All in all, mixed but with a friendly atmosphere and beautiful location.

Friendly place and good facilities but not so clean

Stayed here for one night and cannot fault! Welcomed as soon as we arrived. Shown to our room which was a good size, clean, tidy and cosy! Had a very good breakfast the next day which was excellent! Shown around the farm and even helped feed the calves, collect eggs from the chickens and turn out the shire horse and foal. We watched their German shepherds playing in the field which was lovely. Such a lovely experience and John and Sue could not have been more welcoming! This was the first time here but we will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Wonderful stay

Had a wonderful stay, until the last morning. The room was spacious and clean. Farmer John was so lovely and friendly with the kids. 
On the last morning John took us to to have a look around. They breed German Shepards for the Greater Manchester Police. Most dogs were enclosed in small groups; but there was one 6 month old German Shepard female who was in a barren cage in a big barn, with no bedding and no toys. As a female she had been kept from the last litter in order to breed from (hence why I say this is a puppy farm). She had to share her cage with approximately 16 of her own excrements. This was the morning after Hurricane Irma passed over, and I couldn't stop thinking about that poor dog all alone in that cold bare barn as the storm passed over.
I went from thinking that this was one of the best BnB's I had ever stayed in; to thinking I just couldn't go back.

Lovely BnB - shame about the puppy farm out back

Stayed here when attending a work Christmas party nearby. Very friendly hosts. Recommended a local taxi company in advance and had no problems with the taxi co either. 
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Decent sized room. Lovely views. Hearty breakfast. 

One night stay.

This was a lovely place to stay. John and Susan were very welcoming and had everything ready for our stay. Large rooms, beautiful bedding, lovely and warm - absolutely nothing to fault. Breakfast was tasty and extremely plentiful! Would definitely stay here again as it’s such a beautiful setting and our only negative is we ran out of time to look around the farm!

Warm and welcoming

Although this was only a one night stop we were struck by the homeliness of the gorgeous barn conversion on arrival. Susan met us and showed us to our family room which we discovered to be sizeable and very comfortable. Exceptionally clean too. We headed out for the evening, returning to snooze our way to breakfast. 
So, breakfast downstairs in a country style kitchen, listening to John singing away as he cooked. Breakfast was fulfilling even as a vegetarian. Wife and son went for the full fat offering!! After breakfast John took us off to see the farm animals (including the puppies and calves) and was wonderful ! We vacated sadly but knowing we will definetely be returning- the sooner the better. Many many thanks to John and Susan who even gave my wife a Lancashire cheese ball for her birthday. Fantastic- next time Sharon will bring her wellies to help out!

Time Flew Too Soon

What a pleasure to be so welcomed! We were traveling with two young children and the family room was perfect. Big, with its comfortable bathroom, the children's space nearby without being a dormitory, it's a well-organized room. But what makes us come back to this B&B is the pleasure of sharing a moment with the farmer who welcomed us there. With him we visited the entire farm! A great moment! But I don't forget the huge breakfast: another great moment! When I think of this place I smile again.... we will come back!
