Fabulous B&B. We stayed here this weekend when attending a nearby wedding. The owners were great. Welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Lovely room and great bathroom. We will definitely revisit when not at a wedding and use as a base for the area. Great breaky too! Thank you!

In a word......lovely!

We had such a wonderful overnight stay at Mill House. Check in was quick with a recommendation of a drink at the nearest pub which we took advantage of! When we returned Lorraine had left some cushions on the chairs overlooking the river. She even left out some wine glasses for us just in case, which we did make use of. The room was beautiful, very clean with a very comfortable bed. There was a huge bath with some really fluffy white towels which totally relaxed us before bed. The breakfast was incredible, so delicious with fresh local ingredients and homemade jams. We had a great recommendation of a walk to Nicky Nook which has a wonderful view and beautiful woodlands.

Home from home

We arrived at 2.40 and were greeted by the host who informed us in no uncertain terms that check in was at 3pm but on this occasion she would let us check in, not a good start as her manner was quite unfriendly. We were shown to our room and to be fair she was very informative when asked about near by restaurants and was a lot more friendly, although a welcome folder would have been a nice touch as well. The room was very very spacious and clean but there was a lot of cobwebs and dust around the doors. Lovely bathroom, shower was very under par but lots of hot water and nice products.  When we asked for the bottle of water that was listed in the  description we were told that they’d run out despite there being an M&S across the road and a coop 2 mins drive away. Breakfast next morning was very good but to our absolute horror we were asked to sit on the same table as 2 other residents obviously complete strangers to us, not wanting to seem rude we did sit down, it was extremely awkward sitting down for a meal with people you’ve never met and we could see the other couple felt exactly the same. In our opinion and I expect the other couples a complete faux par expecting guests to double up on tables!

lovely welcome at the mill house as we arrived in the beautiful setting, shown to our very clean and spacious bedroom with equally spacious bathroom/shower room, decorated to a very high standard, the beds are also super comfy!!!!
local produce for breakfast with a great selection of juices, berries, and cereals to add to a fabulous english breakfast

perfect overnight stay

We have just returned from a most pleasant but, sadly, all too short overnight stay at Mill House. If you appreciate warm but not intrusive hospitality in a delightful setting and with spacious and spotless accommodation then this is the place to head for in this area.
We enjoyed a very comfortable bed with top quality linen, tea and coffee tray, wall mounted television and even fresh roses on the dressing table!  The en-suite was extremely spacious with walk-in shower, free standing bath, luxurious towels and a selection of toiletries.  But it was at breakfast that Lorraine's high standards were further endorsed. when she served, arguably, the best English breakfasts we have enjoyed anywhere thanks to her sourcing top quality ingredients from her local butcher.  Thank you, Lorraine, for all the effort you make to ensure that  your guests are so well catered for.
