My room was cute and cozy with a fantastic view of the harbor.  Check in was easy and convenient.  Location was a block from the town center.

Staff were very accommodating even when I left earbuds in the room.....they were sent back to me within a couple of days.Highly recommended!

Nice little hotel with rooms overlooking the harbor. It has reserved parking spaces which was handy since there isn't a lot of parking in the area. It was self check-in and out, but we didn't have any issues with that. Room was a little musty and the water system was loud while showering, using the sink, or flushing the toilet. Overall, we would definitely stay again.

My room had the best view. Literally a view of the harbour, it was fantastic to wake up to. My bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and warm. 👍 It’s a great location, I had no issues parking. Locals are friendly and there’s plenty of places to eat in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat.The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a mini fridge to keep groceries and milk fresh. Although mini fridges seem to be more common in Australian accommodation, as I haven't had one anywhere we have stayed in the UK.

Nice and convenient, easy to go to other places

This was the perfect place to stay in Skye , the room was spotless and up to a very high standard with a view that must be one of the best in Skye , check in and out was as easy you could want with a free parking space provided, I would give it a 10 .

This spot was absolutely perfect. Hotel is well looked after and checking in was a breeze. The room had an excellent view and everything you could possibly need. Beds were particularly comfortable. I was concerned about being on the first floor with 2 large suitcases, but was delighted to see it was only a short flight of stairs. We had a rental car and there was always a spot out front for when we came and went. Couldn’t have been more seamless. This spot is an absolute gem.

I stayed in a single room. It was clean, comfortable and warm. It was quite compact but fine for one person. Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room and a TV. The bathroom was clean and it had a good shower. The location is brilliant with a lovely view down over the harbour, though my room didn't have a view. There are loads of places to eat. Communication was excellent including checking that everything was ok, and informing me of a planned power outage by the electricity company.I'd be happy to stay there again.

Our room was small, but clean and perfect for two people.  The room we had had a full size bed and two bunkbeds. It would be Extremely cozy with four people.  Parking was available across the street. If that was full, the offsite parking was just a 5 to 8 minute walk back to your hotel.

Nice little place

Beautiful room with a lovely view to the Portree harbour. Close to everything (shops, pubs) and convenient location for exploring the area. I have no experience communucating with the staff, but they seemed to be easily reachable if I had needed something. Walls were really thin though, could hear everything from the room next door, but I didn’t mind that.

No contact check in/ check out. On arrival key in envelope in porch.
Only a few parking spaces over road from building so getting a space can be hit and miss

We really enjoyed our stay! We had a family of 4 so booked the family room with bunk beds which is room 1. Check in was super easy and great communication by staff throughout stay even for not being on location. Easy 2-3 minute walk to many restaurants. Parking is super easy across the street from the front door.

Enjoyed our stay!

A nice B&B with self-check in and check out.  Rooms, though tiny, were adequate and well maintained.  A few parking spots just in front of the property offering free parking was great.  Shops & restaurants near by.  Very convenient for a short stop over during our trip exploring the Scottish countryside.  

An excellent option at Portree!

The views from the property are second to none. Cleanliness is excellent, communication good and all staff pleasant and friendly. The only downside is the size of the rooms, they are tiny, as are the ensuites. Also, as there are no communal rooms or kitchen facilities, a small fridge in the room would have been handy.

If you book with Coolin House, you’ll be so lucky! I was a solo female traveler and I feel safe at these accommodations. There was clear directions on expectations, they checked in with me upon checking and later to make sure all was well. My stay included a Sunday where most places to eat were closed yet directly next door, there is a Chinese restaurant as well as a co-op very close by. The hot water lasted a while which was needed after a long day of hiking! Great views, pricing and location in proximity to all areas. Book with confidence.
