Robin is the front of the house man and Evelyn behind the scenes. Robin meets and greets everyone while Evelyn post daily breakfast selections. Robin gives guests a morning sightseeing brief with maps and off the beaten path sights while Evelyn prepares mouth watering breakfast masterpieces.
Robin is very worldly, has a contagious smile and lives in a world with the big picture on life.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the yurt, which is charmingly decorated with cozy seating and fairy lights. 

Robin is a wonderful host and knows so much about the Island and Scotland in general, so don’t forget to Pick up some insider-tips from him while you are there.

If you are a vegan/vegetarian, this is the perfect place to stay - you will love waking up to Evelyns homemade granola

Rain on Skye is a given, so earplugs make the yurt-experience a bit more comfortable :)

My husband and I recently spent a few days at Clachamish House, and I can honestly say that it was one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. As soon as we pulled up to the house after a stressful drive from Edinburgh, Robin warmly welcomed us into his wonderfully decorated home. The room was beautiful and cozy. Evelyn made amazing vegetarian breakfasts each morning. I miss the delicious cranachan! Robin helped us navigate our journey after breakfast every morning and told us about some lesser-known sites to visit. The house is very close to all of the major sites on the Isle of Skye. He even introduced us to his three cats! It was a magical place and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you Evelyn and Robin for making it a special stay for us!

About ten miles out of a Portree, this gem of a B&B couldn’t have been more perfect.  The home fits the rugged and beautiful surroundings. The rooms are clean and cozy and made me feel as if I were back in Italy a bit. The hosts are very welcoming and kind. Breakfast was superb.  Simply a delightful place!

The Mongolian yurt itself was very magical, comfortable, well appointed and cosy (with its own log-burning stove and gas heater) despite it being very wet and windy outside. Adjacent WC/ shower next door and nearby kitchen both straightforward but functional and clean. Lots of very homely and attractive touches and details throughout. Breakfast was excellent with home made granola, fruit and yogurt. Great central location for touring Skye. Highly recommended!

Do you know when you feel that you find the perfect place that made your trip a thousand times better? Thats how we felt when we arrived at Clachamish House, very late at night (we made too many stops on the way to Skye from Edinburgh) and were greeted by Ruben, Evelyn, and a menu with the options for breakfast for the following day. The place is great, the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had, and the tips on where to go each day (with a hilarious stand up show included) was just perfect to enjoy Skye in the best way possible. 
I can't recommend Clachamish House enough.

We got a warm welcome when we arrived from Robin and he offered great local information. The room was lovely, comfortable, tasteful & characterful. The choice for breakfast was special and the coffee and food were  fantastic.

Clachamish B&B is perfectly located for exploring Syke. Robin and Evelyn were exceptional hosts who treated us as if we were part of the family and made us feel very much at home. We stayed for four nights in the ensuite room, which has a very comfy bed and huge soft pillows, perfect for a good night's sleep. 

Evelyn happily offered gluten free options and the breakfast menu changed daily, providing a wide selection of nutritious and delicious breakfasts, perfect to set us up for long days of exploring. I highly recommend the cranachan! Robin's local knowledge and extensive guidebook and map library were invaluable. Following his recommended routes ensured we had amazing days out and did not miss any of the hidden gems or spectacular views. 

Could not recommend them enough and looking forward to going back!

This was such a lovely experience.  Best breakfasts I have ever had.  Wonderful and friendly hosts, Robin and Evelyn!  Going back next summer to stay with them.  We had our own bathroom.  Great location to see the sites of the Isle of Skye. 

Perfect base for our 3 night stay in Isle of Skye. An easy drive to Portree (main town) and many walks and attractions. Being above Portree it was a perfect base to explore all parts of Skye.
The highlight of our stay was the two course breakfast every morning with a menu that changes daily. Everything is home cooked and you can taste it! 
While enjoying Evelyn's breakfast Robin is happy to chat with you about where to go and what to see. He provided us with maps and guidebooks and a wealth of knowledge about Skye. Thanks to Robin we were able to cover a lot of ground and see lots of the beautiful Isle of Skye. This B&B was the best of our month tour of the UK.
Room was great, comfortable bed and pillows, very quiet at night. Clean bathroom with toiletries provided. 
Tip: listen to Robin's suggestions for dinner!

Great find in Skye - we will be back! 

We booked this for a single night on our tour of Scotland an didnt have much of a plan. It’s a well hidden gem and I wish we would have planned for a couple nights minimum. The house is beautiful, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The best part was the breakfast; absolutely perfect. Everything about this place is exactly what I was looking for. My compliments and whole hearted thanks to Robin and Evelyn. You are the best!
