Stayed at this lovely pub on sept Friday 19th to Sunday 21st sept . Re the reviews of fighting and noise etc.  we never had no problems at all. The rooms r all sound proof and we slept like logs. 
It was a busy but really friendly pub . Myself and my wife and our 6 year old daughter were made to feel extremely welcome by the owner Joy . Nothing was too much trouble.  The rooms were spotless. We had the family room . I highly recommend the lovely cycle paths close by and the views on the Brecon Beacons were outstanding.  I will be coming back in next few weeks .  Also beer is cheaper than average .

A modern pub within the small town of Pontardawe. Live music on the weekends though this is not consistent. A board outside will inform you what is on. Nice beer garden on different levels. Local girls behind the bar

Typical modern pub

I stayed in this hotel (using the term loosely) back in August.  Thanks god I was alone as the clientele made me believe I was on the set of Deliverance.

On entering the premises I was immediately overcome by an aroma comparable to that of a sh*t smugglers duffel bag.  The person who eventually came to verify my booking had teeth like a tray of burnt carrots - Ok, I know we can't help our physical appearance, but it definitely worked as an appetite suppressant; ideal if you want to lose weight.

The place is an absolute dump, however if you are partial to the smell of rotting corpses and like your ladies with more tattoos than teeth, then this is the place for you.

I would doubt even Terry Waite would stay there.

booked a room with booking.com in November had confirmation of booking we booked it for a concert in the arts centre, on arrival they had no record of our booking, I showed the booking on my phone but the barmaid had to phone the owner who had no record either and the language barrier was a problem has I don't speak eastern European, so we had to walk around in the pouring rain to find another accommodation we travelled a while to get there and was looking forward to dry off and relax but this ruined the whole evening
