Friendly staff, comfortable and peaceful.

The grand Victorian building, internally speaking is a bit tired but as a relatively budget stay in Eastbourne, is great value. Bed linen clean and fresh, staff excellent and all were very friendly. In the morning a cooked breakfast plus usual cereals etc and fruit. I stayed solo whilst in town attending a music concert and would happily stay again.Parking available at rear and is cheap but camera monitored for payments  so make sure to tell the check in staff.

Views from the bedroom of the shimmering sea in the morning sun were spectacular. All of the team were great, but Nicci was an absolute star.

Our first time at this hotel, although we come to Eastbourne regularly. We were given a free upgrade to sea view which made our 20th wedding anniversary very special. Our dog was made to feel welcome too and was allowed in all areas. We loved everything about this hotel. Yes the decor is a little rough in places but it adds to the Victorian feel of the old building.  Highly recommended.

Amazing staff and that makes the differences to staying somewhere. I’ve stayed at other hotels that charge more and the customer service or even security aspects weren’t there. I’m glad I chose to stay.

Staff are amazing and accommodating. Security staff are also amazing. They ensure only those staying are allowed in after a certain time of night. Each night I left to get food, they made sure to check up on me to ensure I got back. I found this to be amazing given the price of the stay. You can’t beat somewhere with actual customer service. The staff are a credit to the hotel.

Pity the road outside is closed ,Although hotel keeps a good eye out for everyone

Stayed in the superior room and had a fantastic view of the sea. Staff were nice and friendly and I loved the somersby cider they recommended I try; I was hooked! Bar Manager/Supervisor was very nice and professional and remembered my order which was always a pint of Somersby cider. I would have given 5 srars if they offered room service (although they were kind enough to allow me to bring up my food to the room it would have been easier and nicer to be able to order from the room. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Good value sea front hotel

Hotel was very convenient for our purposes in ideal location, out side of hotel looking very tired, in need of a good refurb, in side better than expected. We booked a superior room with sea view , nice room, however the people staying in the room directly above us couldn’t keep still walking about at all hours of the night the problem was all the floor boards were extremely squeaky and kept waking us up!! One other point was that the toilet pan was squeezed into a 2 foot space between shower and wall with no room for manouver, I’ll leave that to your imagination!!!

Always a great stay at The Burlington Hotel . As i checked in sarah was very attentive to an elderly couple checking in before me , explaining  all the dining options and bar facilities , with great personal , customer service skills . It made me smile  , great staff , great Hotel , great prices , visit The Burlington .

Me and my son planned to stay for 2 nights originally but we ended up extending it for 1 more night as we was enjoying our stay so much!! The staff are all so friendly and helpful, breakfast is a nice buffet. The room is clean and fresh and everyone is welcoming and kind and they were also very welcoming to my dog!

Can’t complain at all for the price paid for a double room. Soft sheets, hot water, spacious and facing the sun. This time of year though the rooms are difficult to heat and often found the corridors were warmer than my room! Winter duvets do the job fine but you won’t want to leave your bed until the sun rises!

Off peak spring getaway

The hotel is in a good position by the pier and the beach.The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was basic but perfectly adequate. The only thing that really let it down was the carpet in the room that was gritty and definitely hadn’t been hoovered.The hotel is a bit dated now but for the price we paid I was very happy with our stay.

Birthday Trip to Eastbourne

It was a classic accommodation situated in the heart of Eastbourne Pier. The relatively affordable price came with its fair share of advantages. Appearing to cater to a senior clientele, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was quiet and stable. However, the service from the staff was not exceptional. When I requested improvements regarding excessive noise from the neighboring guest, the staff responded with a rather closed-off attitude, stating, 'The law in this country allows for music to be played until 11 PM.' I understand, but that's the same in my country too!!! However, the noise from that guest was truly excessive. Shortly after, another hotel staff member came directly to the room to politely address the issue, probably because of continued complaints from other guests.
