Staying at The Star but evening meal here.  Atmospheric pub, went on Halloween evening. Young woman behind bar was excellent, attentive and served quickly. Congratulations to chef, very nice meal nicely served, and very well priced.  Enjoyed the evening.

I took some of my family from Texas to the Inn for lunch. The food was excellent, service was very good.  I wish I had the name of the guy who served us. He was very attentive and a lot of fun. The ambience was great. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

One of the cosiest pubs I’ve visited in England. The staff was really friendly and the food tasty. They also serve locally brewed beer from Long Man which was quite enjoyable. The pub is suitable for families, and the whole family recommends a stop at the pub!

We had a fabulous experience at this lovely pub on the 2nd May. From the moment we walked into the pub, the lady who served us was friendly and helpful and clearly enjoyed interacting with customers. Our food (I had Chicken and my partner had Salmon) was very tasty and reasonably priced.

The pub has a lovely traditional pub atmosphere.

Very warm and friendly welcome and service from the landlord.  Attentive but not too much.  Excellent food, very generous portions in a lovely village setting.  Plenty of seating options available inside and out.  Would highly recommend if you are passing through the village.

Spent a night in one of the rooms with my partner. Pleasantly surprised by the room being an old pub. Very quant and lovely atmosphere In the bar area. Really comfortable beds and friendly staff. We love the village and would definitely return .

Great pub. Great beer and a witty and welcoming landlord. We didn't eat there but just soaked up the atmosphere. Nice beer garden approached through quirky old rooms with a lot of history. Will definitely return for another go.

An excellent stay as usual.  Congratulations to Lisa and her team for making our annual visit so special.  We will always use this friendly and hospital Inn for any future events.  I would highly recommend to anyone who would be stopping by Alfriston

Such a lovely historic Inn. Dropped in for lunch unplanned but was welcomed and cared for like old friends. Superb service, lovely hot food, reasonably priced. Lots of space to stay socially distanced if wished. Log fire.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and again was fantastic! Lisa is a great host and made us feel very welcome.  The pub food is very good and a great place to relax after a busy day. 
We would recommend to anyone thinking of staying at Alfriston xx

Lovely pub, great service and tasty food

Lovely friendly traditional English pub, excellent bar staff and locally sourced beer made our impromptu visit really enjoyable.  Highly recommend the brie and cranberry sandwiches. Had a good chat to the barman about the local beer and brewery and he generously gave me some beer mats for my collection. Covid safe and well worth a visit. Thankyou👍
