A lovely place to stay! Very clean and quiet. Lovely hot tub. Very friendly customer service - they were calling and checked if everything was okay. The house were very well organised. Will stay again!

We booked a lodge and is was very clean and comfortable,  loved the hot tub , the lady who met us when we arrived was very friendly and helpful,  we had little extras which was super teabags, coffee, dishwasher tablets etc , very quiet friendly park 

Stayed in lodge No. 19 which was lovely and quiet as was well away from the A22. Very warm, clean and nicely decorated lodge. Starter kit provided, washing up sponge, tea towel, spare bin bag, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee and milk sachets. Found the size of rhe lodge lovely for just the 2 of us, would have been fine also for a family of 4. Loved the 'dressing room' off the main bedroom, good wardrobe space and dressing table with big mirror. 
Hot tub was lovely, and very clean and well maintained every day.
Not much wrong with the place that we could see, apart from hot water was not great when trying to fill the bath, ended up with a lukewarm bath, got cold in the bath so went to the shower in the ensuite, and had a lovely hot shower. 
Would stay again. 

Stayed here for a couple of nights in 2 separate properties. Very impressed, really clean, nice small park, excellent lady who works there. Good price too.
We had the honeymoon cottage which was lovely, small but perfectly comfortable, and a 2 bed home which our boys and their girlfriends used, which was really nice. Both had hot tubs which were really hot and super relaxing.
Would definitely recommend this place.

After having trawled all the reviews of the site we went expecting the worst. But we vere pleasantly surprised.
A family of 4 (all adult), we needed to stay in the area for a family wedding.
We were greeted in a friendly way. The unit we stayed in was number 1 (by the entrance gate).
The site is a mix of residential and holiday lets. It is a small site and very quiet.
Yes you can just hear the main road, but we were aware of where the site is and the road noise did not disturb us at all.
The unit was lovely and clean as were the beds, bedding and towels.
We were provided with a cleaning sponge, tea towel, a small starter set of tea/coffee sachets and dishwasher tabs. All the plates, cutlery, pans etc were all on site and clean.
The hot tub was bliss (they would save a lot of money turning the temperature down a couple of degrees)
Yes there are rules around the unit. But we can understand why and the reasoning.
Yes they do hold a deposit (which I was surprised at, as we have never had to put a card on deposit anywhere else for a very very long time)
Yes the TV signal is a little dodgy (as can be in mobile homes in many areas) but we just found that the coax cable connection into the TV is quite loose.
Only two little things would have improved our stay. Just a little bit of washing up liquid supplied would be great.
And a couple of hooks outside to place wet swimwear / towels to dry would be great and could help with "dripping" onto the flooring in the unit.
We would gladly stay again.


Currently staying in a Golden Cross lodge, one more day to go. We’ve been thoroughly impressed, and enjoyed our stay here. The lodge is well equipped, very clean and the hot tub is a great addition. Location is also perfect to explore the Sussex coast, or visit local towns.

The lodges are lovely. Very clean and modern. The layout of the bathrooms are of a very high standard; as good as any of the many hotels and apartments we have stayed in. The hot tub was lovely and was great to relax after we completed our walks and visits. 
The Park is very compact and there is feeling of being on top of each other, however this did not affect our enjoyment. 
We were prepared to walk the 1.5 miles to the nearest pub but other than that you would need a car. The Six Bells pub was excellent with great food. 
Visited the Seven sisters walk and went to Battle Abbey to do the Hastings thing and really enjoyed it. Pop into the Bluebells coffee shop for an excellent scone!
Would def recommend the park. Met two staff briefly who were very helpful. Not being involved with the staff is a good sign for us!

We stayed at the park for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge was deep cleaned throughout, the hot tub was lovely and warm upon arrival and the site was quiet and remote. 
The trip was relaxing and enjoyable for all of my party and I would definitely consider returning back to Golden Cross Park.

We made the booking for three nights in May during the height of the pandemic, and did not read any reviews really since we were just so desperate to get away for a few nights. The week before our stay, we decided to have a read through some reviews, and could not find a single positive one, so we were naturally worried that we had made the wrong decision. As it turns out, this was possibly the best UK holiday we have ever had.

Cleanliness was of huge importance for us and we were so impressed with the fact that the cottage was absolutely spotless from top to bottom, and was stocked with all kitchen equipment that we could need, as well as robes and toiletries. The hot tub was a lovely bonus, and was checked by maintenance on the second day of our stay which was good to see. We did not come into contact with a single person whilst on the site due to the self check in procedures, which was good in terms of covid safety. Location wise, it has very easy links to several different places such as Eastbourne and Hastings for something to do. 

Our only regret was staying for 3 nights rather than a week because we were gutted to leave! 

I can only imagine that the negative reviews we read were people being incredibly fussy as our experience could not have been further from what we had read, hence why we have left a review so that other people are not put off of booking a fantastic break away:)

Great weekend break. Lodge was well equipped, comfy & very warm! 
Hot tub great & checked on our 2nd day.
Locality wise perfect for going out & about. Garage across the road for any bits needed. Pub a mile up the road (6 bells) just eat delivery of Chinese from Fortune Inn, good option for Saturday evening.
Like all holiday lets you can criticize.. for example hot tub lid bit past it but nothing spoilt our well needed break. Staff were attentive & friendly. 
Little welcome pack & towels/bedding good quality. 
Overall if you want to chill for few days then its ideal. 9am check out feels bit early but we were having breakfast on brighton seafront at 10:15, beating Bank hols traffic so not all bad!
We will definitely book again 😁🌟

Just returned from a lovely break where we stayed in the honeymoon cottage. The cottage itself is really well presented with everything you would expect. The bed was comfortable, kitchen was good complete with cooker, hob, toaster and kettle as well as crockery and cutlery. The lounge chairs were really comfortable and the whole place was clean and well presented. The hot tub was private, clean and checked regularly by the warden. I would have scored this higher if it had not been so close to a major road which is quite noisy and had the skylight in the bedroom had a cover. Fortunately I took an eye mask and ear defenders so slept well. Good location for travelling to tourist sites around the South Coast.

Please take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt - we had a lovely stay at Golden Cross. Well equipped lodge with a lovely hot tub and a good base to explore the local area. The lodges are very close together, but effort has been made to ensure they remain private especially while using the hot tub. 

We stayed in the “Oakwood” lodge, the most basic option which is advertised as a “sleeps 4” lodge. We went as a couple and found it quite sufficient, but this lodge would be a real squeeze with 4 people. 

They had a pizza van visiting on the Wednesday night during our stay which was a nice touch.

There have been a lot of critical reviews, but I’d prefer to offer constructive feedback. The beds are in need of new mattresses - it wasn’t the worst night’s sleep I’ve had in a lodge but by no means the best. The curtains in the bedroom are more of a gesture than functional, bring an eye mask! Essentials were provided on arrival (tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc) but one toilet roll was a bit insulting, I get that it’s self catering but for the price you would expect more. There are signs everywhere in the lodge warning you not to do X, Y and Z, which made it feel a bit like Nazi Germany and wasn’t particularly inviting. 

Overall a lovely stay, a few “niggles” but certainly not a deal breaker. Thank you Golden Cross Park, we will be back

We had a great 4 night break away 

Lovely stay in lodge 25. The lodge was clean with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. Shower amazing, beds comfy and hot tub perfect. Only downside was seating in the lounge was a bit cramped for 4 adults. Another armchair would have been great. 

 We will definitely be back.
