We travelled as 2 couple both with the ladies celebrating their 30th bdays . The place was on the river side with beautiful views from our 2 bedroom  apartment (room 19) , situated walking distance from the heart of the city . The apartment had a balcony for the convenience of the smokers , everything you would need from cooking to a widescreen TV , a couch and table and chairs ,a great shower and 2 double beds plus free onsite parking ... I would highly recommend this place if your planning a few days away in Derry 

Suite 21 is a top floor penthouse at the aparthotel. It has views overlooking the river foyleand the city life on the Strand road. It has a spacious balcony that adds to the wonderful views
     Inside the apartment, it was exceptionally clean and provided all major white appliances to make our stay comfortable. Fridge freezer, cooker, oven, microwave. The interior was decorated to a modern high standard, including the bedroom and bathroom. Rooms were spacious, bright and airy. 
    Secure Parking was available for a small fee of £5 per night and free wifi was provided.
    Accommodation was available through booking.com at a discount rate, as we booked early enough in advance.
    All in all we stayed in a luxury, private apartment, in one of Derry's busiest times of the year, for less than a local hotel room.
Pure Bliss!

Reading reviews on this apartment I was a bit wary when booking, I booked the penthouse for 4 nights at a very reasonable price. The apartment was very spacious and clean with a nice view of the river foyle. Apartment is a short walk to the town centre but there is also a bus stop outside. Check in/out was easy.. no one was at the desk for check out but I was able to just slide my keys under the door and leave which was handy. Would definitely stay here again.

Spent two nights in a very spacious, clean and comfortable apartment in this hotel. Close to city centre - cheap taxi ride away and large supermarket nearby. Wonderful, scenic walk alongside the river. Great value for money and friendly check in staff. To be recommended.

Lovely clean central apartment 

Comfortable apartment

Great value and good location

The best thing I can say is that we booked for 4 people for 7 nights, stayed 1 night and got a total refund next morning. After being received by an ill-tempered, impolite woman,we spent a few hours in the first apartment, then had to change to another apartment, as the lights went off, no electrician was available but the woman who booked us in got them on but they kept going off.  Second apartment had 6 major complaints, including tepid/cold water, broken toilet seat and flush, inadequate and poor quality kitchen equipment etc. Complained at midnight and to be fair to the owner he responded immediately and offered a full refund the next morning - which we accepted.  So not a good experience with Apartotel, having to pack up and change over, then move to a poor quality apartment, especially as an 83 year old man and new baby were part of the group. We then had to find new accommodation and were very lucky with 2 rooms in the excellent Derry Travelodge.   If the 6 major faults are dealt with, the apartment will be acceptable from the point of view of space and location. (Some of my complaints were also mentioned in 2015 reviews.....)

Falsely advertised on Trip Advisor as 5 Star hotel. Not a hotel but an apartment with one staff present for a few hours.
