Very peaceful room and very quiet, scenic location. Staff very friendly.

Our 3rd visit to Craigatin House and our 3rd stay at room 14, which has a lovely window seat and overlooks the picturesque courtyard.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory and you’ll have plenty of choice on the extensive menu.
We will be back.

Warm, homely and professional - that was the welcome I received at this excellent guest house. Craig, the owner, gave all the relevant information needed for the stay and recommendations to make it even better. The bedroom was very comfortable, full of character and wonderfully quiet for a good night's sleep. Have to mention the glorious breakfast especially the porridge made with whisky.  Absolutely yummy! Brilliant to set up before tackling the most beautiful scenery on the fantastic walks from Pitlochry.

Stayed a couple of days. Owner very welcoming, staff very helpful and efficient, large rooms exceptionally clean and lovely decor very comfortable beds.Breakfast nothing left out ,from cold buffet to cooked breakfast lovely and hot, I will certainly be back and highly recommend. 

Nothing but perfection in every way! From the welcome , an amazing room and facilities, sitting drinking complimentary whiskey in front of a log burner , best nights sleep and the breakfast was fantastic great selection available . Served by polite and helpful staff . Will return soon

This is a First Class Guest House - we had Suite 11 and it was fantastic - a professional greeting from the owner Gary who was super helpful, great facilities, great location, great value - cannot recommend Craigatin enough ( special shout out for their amazing breakfast !!! )

Perfect for our two night stay. Staff was very good.

Convenient and easy to get to. Clean and spacious room. We stayed in 11 which was so close to the car park and only had a few steps. Comfortable room, hot showers, nice big bed, delicious breakfast - try the whiskey porridge! We ate all our lunches and diners at The Auld Smiddy Inn and wish we couldn’t stayed longer!

Great stay. Would happily recommend this though book direct. Host could not be more helpful

Outstanding guest house in beautiful surroundings

The rooms was nice we stayed in room 9 beautiful view. You pre order your breakfast the night b4 we don’t mind that but some people might not like that . Plenty of cereal ect the only thing I would say is you can order a full Scottish breakfast or individually order items from that Scottish breakfast . But a choice of scrambled egg with maybe salmon , or pancakes and bacon and maple syrup would have been nice for those who don’t want bacon sausage ect . Plenty of places to eat on night in centre of town. And they don’t mind if you bring takeaway back as long as you eat it downstairs and not in your room .

Lovely stay

We had an amazing stay at the Craigatin House - John is an excellent host - very personable, helpful and he'll book dinner reservations if you like!  Our room was charming and very clean - we had a two night stay and housekeeping was there quite early - we were pleasantly surprised the room was done!  Breakfast is yummy!  DO try the Whiskey porridge - you'll love it, as well as the full Scottish breakfast in the gorgeous sun room.  The check-out was very smooth, and there is ample parking - included in the rate.  We would DEFINITELY stay again at this wonderful, exquisite Bed and Breakfast.  - John, THANK YOU FOR YOUR hospitality!

Outstanding Bed and Scottish Breakfast Inn!!

Absolutely lovely!  Right from the moment I arrived and was greeted by John, I felt very at home.  The bed was comfortable, the surroundings and garden were beautiful and it was everything I'd hoped for.  I spent 2 nights and it was such a lovely place to come back to after a days touring.  The lounge area is peaceful and a great place to sit and read a book.  And John's whisky porridge has to be tasted to be believed!  I'd definitely stay again.

A lovely couple of nights.

We stayed here for our final night of our Rob Roy Way walk and it was a perfect last stop after 82 miles walking! Bed was extremely comfortable, our room was on the top floor and it was quiet with lovely views of the Perthshire hills.
We didn't want a cooked breakfast, but instead enjoyed a lovely buffet selection- fresh fruit, yoghurts, home made jams and croissants. The Whisky porridge was the best we have ever tasted.
John was a lovely host offering suggestions for dinner and we really appreciated the lift back to the station-thank you. 
We would definitely stay again when in the area.

A lovely country house hotel with accommodating hosts

Had a two night stay at Craigatin. John was a great host, recommended some nice restaurants and offered to book them for us. Lovely peaceful location, its a short walk to the centre of Pitlochry.
Craigatin is the perfect place to stay. We had a suite on the upper floor so had some decent views, great to be able to choose which room at the time of booking too. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious  would definitely recommend the whisky porridge. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Short break

Our stay was amazing with a lovely room and fantastic hand cooked to order breakfast . Only slight downside was that in -5 temps outside , the beautiful log burner was not lit and the lovely large room was chilly at breakfast time . We weren’t the only couple to mention this . This didn’t spoil our stay but it’s worth a mention .

Lovely stay in beautiful accommodation

Lovely period building, set back from the road so nice and quiet. Our room (5) was cosy, clean, and comfortable. Good hospitality tray, with bottled mineral water and fresh milk available on request. This room also has a bath, with nice bubble bath provided - for the shower, I liked that the toiletries were all in large refillable containers and it's Scottish Fine Soaps products. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice at the buffet and my hubby raved about the Whisky Cream Porridge. Our cooked options (including vegetarian) were also really good. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed here for our annual visit to the Enchanted Forest and we fell in love with the place instantly! 

It's easy to find, right on the main road into Pitlochry and a 5 minute walk from the centre. The building itself is set back from the road so there's no noise at all and the views of the garden from the breakfast room (even in the pouring rain) are lovely. 

We were in Room 5, which was cosy, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The hospitality tray included bottled mineral water and you can ask for fresh milk, too. This room also has a bath, which was much appreciated having returned cold and wet from the event! 

We slept really well and in the morning enjoyed a fantastic breakfast. Hubby raved about the Whisky Cream Porridge (and still is!) and there's a buffet with lots of choices from various cereals and fruit/yoghurt to mini pastries, plus the offer of toast. You also choose your cooked options the night before and both of those when they came (the full Scottish for hubby, and veggie sausages with beans and tomatoes for me) were delicious. 

We truly couldn't find fault and everything is spot on; the warm welcome, the facilities, and the food. 

We're definitely going to be coming back!
