Comfortable, clean accommodation for a B & B.Breakfast ok but waited a long time on the 2nd day to be served. Staff were friendly and we would recommend for an overnight stay.

We have visited the Farmers Arms for drinks over the past 3 years whilst owning a caravan in the site next door. Always had a great pint so when we needed an overnight stay, whilst selling our van, we didn’t hesitate in booking a room - if they take that much pride in keeping their lines that clean then the rooms are going to be tip top. We wasn’t disappointed; lovely comfortable room with excellent hostess tray supplies, biscuits, tea and even Costs Coffee pods for the coffee machine. Extremely clean and nice to have piping hot water in the bathroom.  Breakfast is served until 9.30 and was again superb. A full English beat us but that is probably because we were still full up from our evening meal the night before, you really cannot fault the size of meals that are served up.  A really nice stay and we wouldn’t hesitate in booking again. The staff were really welcoming and extremely helpful.

What this place lacks in atmosphere is more than made up by the excellent food.  Service was good and staff were very efficient and polite.  The portions of food were huge as well as being very tasty.  Would definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Good quality food at reasonable prices.

We had always spoken about visiting this pub after meeting the couple who run it on our return airport transfer in Mexico, Oct 22 and it certainly did not disappoint! Excellent food & huge portions! A great place for traditional & hearty pub grub, we will be sure to go back next time we are in the area! Unfortunately didn’t get to the meet the couple again but hopefully they see this review so that they know we came to visit after them telling us the good things about it - Highly recommend :)

Fabulous pub grub!

Fantastic evening. Had Johnny's leek and potato soup absolutely gorgeous. Then had goats cheese and mushroom burger with fries cooked to perfection. Staff very happy and friendly, nothing to much bother. Great family night out

Excellent pub great food and beer Jackie made you feel so welcome the minute you walked in we went on a Sunday there was live entertainment outside and sport on in the bar the bedroom had everything you could possibly want even a coffee machine 

Would definitely stay again 

They couldn’t have done more to make us happy.

This isn’t a posh pub restaurant, nor is it a ropey pub. It was just what was needed after a long day on the beach. 

We arrived with no booking, on a busy summer holiday period and on a Sunday carvery special. Welcoming and warmly received we were quickly shown to a table. 

A simple menu with a good selection of ‘pub grub’. When it arrived it was obviously a little bit special. Warning; the portions are large. Rare is it that I can’t finish a plate and this was one of those times. 

We had 2 double stack burgers (this can be a single but not shown on the menu), chicken burger, dirty nachos and two portions of garlic bread. Total cost with some drinks was around £71 for the four of us. We were offered takeaway boxes for our leftovers which was nice. The burgers were really well cooked and a good thick patty too. 

If I were being super picky, I mean really picky, perhaps the triple-cooked chips weren’t as good as the rest, but they were still very tasty. 

When serving my burger, the waiter accidentally dropped it off the plate. He was very polite and apologetic as was the manager. They refused me paying for it even though it wasn’t anyone’s fault.

Good, honest, friendly, local pub grub.

We have a problem, checking in didn’t seem to be any record of us which was a shame.The room was very comfortable little crowded Quite noisy at night time in your room as the rooms are above the pub.No Wi-Fi, which meant that you couldn’t watch television as you needed one for the TV

Jacquie was so welcoming and friendly, as were all the staff. Beautiful room — loved the cushions a real homely touch. Clean comfortable and a good nights sleep. We enjoyed our evening meal as well as the very substantial breakfast — best veggie sausages I’ve had yet ! Thank you we will return

One night stop over

Excellent weekend,  lovely room, complimented by very helpful and pleasant staff.
