I visited the Paramount when visiting my relatives in Nottingham recently. I had seen something on TV about a renovation so thought I would give it a go. The room was dirty, untidy and disgusting. The management were unhelpful and the room smelt of smoke. The road noise was constant and impossible to sleep. I stayed the one night and got out of there , paid a little more but what a change. If money is an issue, camp on the street, it will be more comfortable and smell better than the paramount. Be selective.

Mould everywhere in my room smells disgusting needs bringing up to standards and tears in bedroom heating hardly ever on it's cold at night no mattress toppers toilet seat needs repairing and bath has fell apart

I checked in here and the guy behind the counter was lifting of BO , open the door to go up stairs and the smell of weed,in the room my bed had been slept in the sheets were lifting, he changed them the bath/shower was full of hair the whole place was the worst digs I have ever stayed in ,and I work away from home so I live in digs all over the country

Such a HORRIBLE experience , I let someone into my room for just 1 hour and they made me pay £20 extra , rooms very basic and bed sheets dirty . Even tho I payed for a double room , manager didn’t let my brother in with me . No free breakfast Nd manager came in the room and took bed sheets off me in the morning - DO NOT RECCOMEND

I was suppose to travel from north America but had to cancel flight/hotel due to illness. Provided this hotel with medical report for refund as well but still won't care. Most places would refund under these circumstances but this place is too greedy to do that!

Just a greedy bunch

Can  you  smell   the   stench?    and   blimey!   what   a   stinker!    The  putrid stench   of   drugs    being   smoked   in  the   bedrooms   and   bathrooms,   will   be  the   first   thing   you   notice,   after   stepping   foot   upstairs,   so   avoid  at  all  costs,  unless   you  fancy  being  smoked   out   and  choked  by  marijuana,  amongst   other   things?

Even  a  brothel  can't   smell  this  bad!

Broken shower,dirty bathroom, hair on my sheet,very poor breakfast and closed bar.I have to ask owner to clean my bathroom and some clean sheets but when I was changing them the mattress protector had giant yellow stain I was told to put another sheet on it and it will be fine shocking!  And I paid £70 for 1 night not worth money. Not recommended! 

A big NO

As other people have commented, there are only four car parking spaces but they are so close together it was hard to get anything out the back of the car. But this was the hotel's best quality. After walking up the small staircase we got to our (three) rooms and they were freezing. One room there was tv but no signal, dirty bath, the towel rail fell off and there were little hairs on the bed sheets. The second room, the bathroom looked ok at a glance, new tiles maybe but the bath was dirty. The tv worked most of the time, just don't walk around the room, the mattress was so old, the side of it where you would sit, the springs were gone so when you tried to sleep on it, you could fall out. There was only one visible plug socket (other than the tv) which was half behind the headboard making it very difficult when you needed to switch between the bedside lamp, hair dryer and mobile phone charger. The worst was the third bedroom. There was a TV but no controls. The bathroom was dirty. But the worst thing was the couple next door. They were clearly drunk and fighting. Shouting obscenities at each other you could hear the hits landing. We went to the man on reception and told him, to which he replied "don't worry about it". Well after our lovely evening out and we went back to sleep, We were woken at approximately 1.30am by a man on his phone shouting his conversation - on loudspeaker! To top it all off, we went down for our breakfast... Well, there was a couple of serial options, croissants that had obviously been shop bought, the week before. There was the Toast/bread option and there was a hot plate with a large frying pan on the side that had bacon and sausages in - not overcooked but just keeping warm. When we asked for ketchup, they said their order hadn't come in yet. There is a Lidl right opposite. 
We had children with us and if we didn't have to pay when we booked in, we would have left. Shocking hotel - would not recomend.

Do not stay here. 

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I regret not taking photos to publish on this site as evidence. 

The place is falling apart and the room that we stayed in was in a horrible state. The beds had stained sheets, there were wires hanging above it and it was incredibly uncomfortable. 

The bathroom is in desperate need of renovation as the bath and shower need re-sealing, the side of bath was hanging off and the plumbing under the sink was exposed. The plumbing system needs work as when anyone in the place used a tap we could clearly hear it in our room. 

The rooms are in no way sound proofed and we could hear everything going on in the hotel, this carried on all night as did the couple next door...

I booked this hotel as the room was £80 however I have stayed in much cheaper rooms which have been far nicer!!!
