When you’ve stayed at Premier Inn hotels you know to expect consistent high standards all over the UK. As I have experienced over many years. However the Premier Inn Nottingham South was exceptional. The welcoming and friendliness of the staff. Casey on reception who checked me in and also my party guests at later times deserves special credit with his chatty character. The beautifully cooked and presented breakfasts by Dee the chef were truly magnificent, quality ingredients and plentiful. For £9.99 - incredible value for money!! 

Spacious restaurant. Hotel room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. A fully stocked vending machine came into use on a few occasions. If you want a quieter room ask for one that faces the car park and not the other side which borders the road. Note the hotel does not have a bar but it’s next to a good pub. Also the restaurant does not offer daytime or evening meals. 

On departure I took time to find Bobby the manager to personally thank him and praise his staff for all the reasons I’ve stated in this review. This is how a budget kind of hotel should be.

A superbly staffed and run hotel

Every member of staff we dealt with could not have done more to help. Absolutely professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast staff were brilliant too and poached eggs cooked to perfection! It was a pleasant surprise to find friendly, competent and helpful staff… sadly a quality which is lacking nowadays!!!

Great 2 night stay

From the time I arrived Angelita on reception was very welcoming and very accommodating and got the best room to suit my needs. Felt very safe,  I was close to reception & restaurant so I was confident to be alone. Ricardo in the restaurant was very pleasant polite and works very hard to keep the restaurant clean and tidy. Desiree cooked my breakfast on my first morning to perfection. 2nd morning someone else did, not so well lol , but if they were doing breakfast again , I would just give a few pointers ie less water on the plate from poached egg, but that’s only me being fussy to what I like. Room very clean and comfortable.

Excellent stay will be back

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely room as always with premier in, deep bath for a soak and great bed for a quality sleep. Great usb and hdmi inputs and nice decor, in the room and the hotel itself 

Very nice hotel

The room was perfect for our needs, and the lady in the dining room was so helpful, the lady on reception was helpful too as we had a problem trying to book an extra night online, my grandson didn’t want to leave.

The Premier Inn gets it right.  We always know that we will receive a warm, courteous and efficient welcome at one of the Premier Inns.  The room is clean and pleasant with enough of the basic needs.  The staff are well trained and cheerful and having the option of dining on site is a distinct plus.  The Premier Inn chain remains our hotel of choice.

Only stayed one night as we were collecting a new car the next day in Nottingham.
 Very clean room, pleasant staff and good value. Breakfast served in the hotel was also very good and cooked fresh to order.
We also ate the pub next door which was also very good and good value.

One night only.

We chose this hotel as it was away from the city centre but had great transport links. We certainly weren’t disappointed with either. The main city link bus route is right outside the hotel and we didn’t have to wait longer than 10 minutes for a bus throughout the weekend. The hotel rooms were a bit dated and worn in places but the room was clean and we had a really good night sleep both nights we stayed. Tea and coffee were provided with an area in reception to help yourself if you wanted more. There was also a vending machine with crisps and drinks. The main highlight of the weekend was the breakfast. We opted for what we thought was a buffet breakfast but whilst the cold selection and drinks were buffet style, the hot offering was cooked fresh and was absolutely fantastic. Cooked to perfection, hot and absolutely delicious. We’d definitely stay here again. Staff were really friendly and accommodating too.

Great base if you don’t want to stay in the city centre.

Nice hotel, clean and easy to get too.
Nice and quiet for a good sleep. Maria on reception was really helpful. 
Dont bother with breakfast though - not unlimited and very small. The only disappointing part of the stay.

Great for a good nights sleep

On arrival the receiptionist was visibly very fluey and ill, coughing in hands and handling our room keys. I was very uncomfortable and this just isn't acceptable the hotel should have measures in place both for preventing disease spread to guests which didn't sign up for a room and a dose of covid, and ffor staff welfare. 

We'd stayed in an even filthier premier inn the night before, but this one also was filthy particularly the toilet. I am just shocked I don't know what is happening to Premier Inn I always used to think of it as comfy and clean. I didn't have the energy to complain, and as per the night before we had booked two rooms and both were dirty and on different floors, so it was clear it was a general hygiene issue throughout the hotel and not worth a room change. 

I didn't feel comfortable using the showers on either night due to poor cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. The toilet roll dispenser had excrement marks around it where people had clearly touched around it with soiled fingers, awful.  There were bodily fluid marks on the chair where I can only imagine what happened... The night again was noisy with guests and we barely slept. Rooms had been split up again too.

Added to this, we went to the restaurant at 8pm after not eating that day and they had shut as they had 'no chefs' - however, were still serving other guests puddings. Terrible service and unhelpful staff. 

I booked Premier Inn for my family to stay in on the dates surrounding a relatives surgery as I trusted that in doing so the process would be as stress free as possible as we would have a clean and reliable stay, with access to food. On both nights, at both hotels, we were let down. 

I contacted the hotel when I got home and reported ths issues. Again, they responded with a standard response but didn't address my concerns, said they would pass on feedback and gave me a partial refund. It just is not good enough it was absolutely filthy and I reported it to the Local Authority. I am shocked and disgusted at the fall in Premier Inn Standards, their associated restaurants and their customer service team which are the worst I have encountered.
