Stayed here for 1 night. Arrived mid afternoon, checked in at the bar and was shown to our room straight away. We had prebooked a pet friendly room as we had our dog with us, the room was plenty big enough, was very clean and had everything we needed. We walked into the nearby village which has a couple of pubs and shop, the walk only takes about 5-10 minutes, we didnt venture much further so not sure what else is nearby. We had booked a table for the evening as it was a Saturday night, they have live music on so we expected it to be really busy however it wasnt at all which made it feel a relaxed and cosy evening. The food was amazing, the steak & ale pie was probably the best we'd ever had (hats off to Will the chef). In the morning there was a buffet style breakfast, we opted for the hot full english and again it was amazing and set us up for the day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, a lovely place to vist and we'd definately stay there again.
