Warm friendly host. Birthday card and gifts for my husbands 50th birthday on arrival. Everything you could need in a cottage and more..great location for Towcester,pubs within walking distance overlooking canal. Highly reccommend.

Had a lovely 2 night stay right by the canal,studio was lovely and owner Kath was very friendly and welcoming,nice touches such as tea,coffee and milk provided,lovely comfy bed and pillows.Plenty of nice places to eat along the canal and nice to see the boats going through the locks,would definitely stay here again

What a delightful welcome we had from the owner, and everything in our studio we could wish for. We had a few days there visiting friend in the nearby village. It was the perfect place for us and every thing was immaculately clean and well kept. It's really only big enough for two but that suited us fine. There is Iron and ironing board and all the cooking utensils we needed. Milk, Coffee and Tea were available, a Tv in fact everything we wanted for our stay we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The waterways cottage is perfect. We booked this as we were holding our wedding reception at The Boat Inn across the road. The owners went above and beyond in order to ensure we had a fantastic stay and it was a much appreciated surprise to come back to an amazingly decorated (rose petals, swans towels) lovely room with complimentary treats and bubbly. This impressed my wife and was a little added touch that made an amazing stay perfect and the perfect ending to a perfect day. It really was a joy to stay here and the room is excellently equipped for a romantic break. We look forward to staying here again and again!! This cottage really is a beautiful place to stay in a picturesque part of Stoke Bruerne. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

The owner at Waterways Cottage was very nice and helpful.
We stayed in the Damson Studio which was open plan and very clean except for marks and burns on the hot plate of the oven.
The Damson Studio was fine to stay in for only a couple of nights as there was very little space for my belongings.
There wasn't a wardrobe, We hung our clothes in a cupboard which houses the washing machine and ironing board. The Bathroom had two narrow glass shelves which wasn't enough for my cosmetics ect. There isn't any chest of drawers or shelf to put your clothes in.
The only place I could dry my hair was by the window with a small mirror on the window sill ,there wasn't enough plug sockets except for an extension lead hidden on the shelf of one of the bedside tables. 
Also the Shower cubicle is on a raised, tiled plinth which wasn't good for someone as clumsy as me.
In the fridge was a large jug of milk and filter coffee. Instant coffee and tea was also provided.
On the wall by the breakfast bar was a small tv with an amazon fire stick, dvd player with a large volume of films to watch. If you want to chill out with some music a dab radio with both a Bluetooth and usb function for your android phone was provided. 
on the whole we had a nice time at Waterways, but unfortunately  it didn't really suit our needs.
